Woke up at 5am to pick my parents up from the airport. Had a niggling feeling something wasn't right before I got out of bed, so checked the arrivals on the website. They don't land until tomorrow.

The internet really is the saving grace for gormless twats like me.

There's some weird conspiracy around the letter W - apparently in some ancient language (maybe Coptic), it's said "Vau" and "Vau" is also the number 6 so the World Wide Web = 666 so the internet genuinely is satanic.

Except the number 666 is a mistranslation. The "number of the beast" is actually 616.
 
It's the same as the 72 virgins thingy, it's not a correct translation. Can't recall what it's supposed to be off the top of my head.

Oh I thought that was one of those prank calls you get from 'Microsoft' telling you your drivers are not working.

Last time Mr Star strung them along for ages and then told them he's a software developer, at which point they hung up.
 
There is nothing more liberating than a run in the rain. I’m SODDING SOAKING WET (:ken:) but it is lovely not giving a fuck for a change. Just me, myself,I, and the beautiful Scottish weather.

In more riveting weather chat I hear we are meant to be getting a heatwave from the beginning of next week. My natural Easter glow is as good as gone.

It's a lot less effort, for sure. 72? Jeez, one who can fix a wonky light fitting and another that's hung like a draught excluder would be plenty.

Oh, and I am in Scotland and we are due to get temperatures of 20+ which is somewhat tropical here.
