Yeah but how did he get the handmaid out if the ambulance came for Lydia? Surely the eyes would have turned up with a big rust clit chopper to take her away at the same time?

I assumed he'd got rid of Lydia and shipped the handmaid out, hence him saying he was in a load of shit as he left her.

How is Emily supposed to feed baby Nicole? June was supposed to go with them and she's literally the only source of baby milk they had! It isn't like they'll be able to stop at Tesco Express on the way and pick up a few bottles of ready-mixed SMA for the journey to Canada is it?
Is June just going to just turn back up at the house and say she was kidnapped? Will Nick not be extremely pissed off that he risked everything (and possibly even started the fire as a distraction) and held Fred up at gunpoint, surely a hanging offense on its own, never mind organising the escape of the most devious handmaiden with a precious baby of Gilead and then she decides to throw a massive spanner of selfish stupidness in the plans, again?

I feel jipped.

Naturally my body is beyond for this and yes of course for Atwood's sequel but I do hope I won't be disappointed. The Handmaid's Tale, unlike the MadAddam trilogy was never conceived to be a trilogy so ...
 
Season 1 was excellent, season 2 was clunky and felt torture porn-y at times. I hope this season is the last - I don't see the need to draw it out much more.
 
I didn't hate the first episode of this season but it raised many more questions for me. I get that character personalities have to evolve but it feels like half the downtroddens are on a mission to bring down authority and nobody in power is aware. Surely the other Commanders would be querying how many problems Fred's household are at the centre of by now and he'd be swinging by his neck on the wall?

While it made me think 'oh the Waterfords got off easy there' I'm glad they didn't waste too much time trying to justify it.

I'm really liking this season so far.

Serena is the biggest cunt there is
 
Four episodes in and I'm loving this all over again. I still can't call what roles Commander Lawrence and Fred are going to play in the rebellion but I hope they'll both join June's gang at some point.

Up to episode 8 now and I think I'm enjoying this season more dans season 2.

Though I'm not sure I fully understood why
Ofmatthews completely lost her mind at the end of the episode
 
Not feeling this season at all so far. Unless of course
they kill off the Waterfords at the end in a spectacular way because those two cunts deserve nothing less.

I really have no idea either. I first thought it would have something to do with overhearing Aunt Lydia giving Ofjoseph (that's her name right now, right?) another posting. or did she cave in from being on the other end of the finger-pointing? she was all pious and shit and suddenly she was seen as the sinner supreme for not wanting the child. or was there some sort of collusion? I mean, the way Ofjoseph looked at her... WILL WE EVER KNOW?

thought the Aunt Lydia background story was good and brought some fresh air to it all because let's face it. this show has gone quite STALE

I think Waterford will go with it a bit, but then bottle it when it gets down to action, then he'll turn to the other side and help the uprising.
