Debbie Harry Autobiography

During my flick through I did spot her going OFF on Rolling Stone for giving “Autoamerican” an “IDIOTIC ONE STAR REVIEW” :disco:

What on earth IS included if there’s no sexy Ted Bundy story, no unveiling of deets about mysterious events, not very much about the wilderness years and hardly any information about the making of the music? Something about fruit? A chapter on Sylvanian Families? FAVOURITE SPICE GIRL?
There was some insight on the drugged up making of Koo Koo, which I enjoyed (and collaborating with Chic, HR Giger etc at that time). But it felt like most the time was spent going through a checklist /outline of her career rather than any in depth chat about the music or tension within the band. There's plenty of slightly snide remarks about important pop figures like Madonna, Patti Smith, former management/advisers etc but she rarely digs in to the details.

important pop figures like Madonna

Younger readers (do we have any?) might have to consult their Encyclopedia Britannica for evidence that she was once important :tongueout:

Oh it seems like such a DISTANT MEMORY! Obviously I’m dying to know what Ms Harry has to say about her. Let’s hope it’s along the lines of the CHER TAKE :disco:

Obviously I’m already aboard BATEAU HARRY thanks to the heroin and Bowie schlong comments and of course those lovely portraits, but also because the book is striking me as being a slightly shallow canter through a truly fabulous life and what more could we ask for? :disco:
