This is already so much better than the first episode. But what a mean thing to do to poor Vivienne.

I loved (the awful looking) Cheryl’s reaction ”So I’ve gotta bring myself now!” :D
 
Also, RuPaul not getting the language/lingo is my favourite thing (as I can relate).
 
Christ it’s hard to tell who was the shittest out of that - Baga, Davina, The Vivienne and Vinegar are safe but the rest are all gonna have to rely on their runway...
 
The scripts for the acting challenges are as dreadful and unfunny as ever :side-eye:

OMG THE WEIRDEST THING! At the start of the episode, just as the titles were beginning, I thought, god, I hope isn't another shit lip-sync and they do a classic. Oooh, I wonder if they'll do Bananarama at some point cause it's British. OOOH, probably VENUS.

Shame it was wasted on those two and was a fairly shite lip sync then :D
 
I don't think Sum Ting was that bad at all in the challenge. The weakest of her group, absolutely, but Scaredy, Blu, Cheryl were all a lot worse and the Canadian whose name escapes me only had the one good moment, which Sum Ting matched with her opening line.
 
Scaredy Kat was beginning to annoy me, so quite glad she's gone.

So far, The Vivienne and Baga are WAY out front for me.

I think the right person went though. I did say last week that I think she’d come apart when it came to the performing and that lip sync was just amateur. Shame - she seems like a nice queen but it was just way too early for her to enter this. I do wonder how she ever even managed to make the shortlist when there are tons of more successful and talented queens who autioned.

This for me as well. Those two are way ahead, and Smelly Cat was getting unbearable.
 
I love how Vivienne actually predicted the almost exact ranking order of the challenge.
 
They're really setting up Baga as the British Vangie aren't they - it seems like she gets the most talking heads.
 
They're setting up The Vivienne as a bit of a villain aren't they?
 
Also, both lip syncs have been pretty shit. I’m really not surprised that we’re not doing so amazing in the lip syncs. I’ve don't think I have ever seen a drag act in the UK where most of the stuff wasn’t sung. It’s just the culture: we do live singing.

New Rules was a shit song, but Vinegar's performance was fine considering.

Venus was BEGGING for some stunts, though. Seems an opportunity missed.

Not sure it takes that much setting up. Anyone who looks that much like Christopher Maloney is going to be a worry. Bet she’s the first to call someone a cunt :side-eye:

Right one went, think Blu has more to give looks wise.
Divina was fab but loving Bagga wayyyy more than expected

Agreed. I actually thought Scaredy Kat was marginally better in the lip sync than Blu tbh. Yeah she didn't try and do shit acrobatics, like Blu did, but I was much more drawn to her facial expressions etc. However I was glad to see Scaredy go though. Shit name, annoying talking heads.

'Who put 50p in Cheryl' was definitely the line of the episode.

And when it was swiftly followed up by that strange bit where Sum Ting draped a fur boa around Blu to console her, I was crying. :D

I thought Vinegar was really quite shit at acting considering she's effectively a professional actor.
 
Oh and Baga absolutely destroyed the competition that episode. She was channeling Julie Walters in Two Soups or Acorn Antiques and it really worked.
