No toilet roll in the local Tesco or Co-Op. I'd have nicked some from work yesterday had I suspected.
 
It was the pasta that got me, not a single type of pasta left on the shelf! And this was a big 24 hour Asda.

I was TINKERING with my OCADO order and I saw all the TINNED SOUPS had sold out. And Mr S can't LAY HIS HANDS on any RICH TEA FINGER BISCUITS which will leave a VAST CHASM in his LIFESTYLE
 
I've got two tins of butter beans I've had at the back of the cupboard for about three years. I'm not panicking just yet.
 
Sheesh, glad I bought some loo roll yesterday now.

Although I don't think Scotland was in much a panic until cases went into double figures today - it was only handwash etc that was lacking on the shelves. I'll go to Tesco after this, see how things have panned out.
 
If anyone needs any 22 year old cumin, just holler.
 
I need to go to the supermarket, but I will tomorrow morning, just in case there's nothing left in the afternoon. :square:

We had one as well, with a very similar tile. Unfortunately only space restriction (and certainly not TASTE) prevented mother getting her sunken corner bath.
 
I’m going to come across as a bit dense right now as I’ve not really been following all the updates, but WHY are people stockpiling toilet paper? The hand soap and sanitisers I understand, but was there any indication that this virus would halt production of toilet rolls or what?

Lucky I bought my regular budget jumbo pack last week and that usually lasts a while anyway.
 
It’s just HYSTERIA. Luckily I live next to the park so in the event of a bog roll shortage I’ll just wipe my arse with a loose bit of BARK.
 
I went food shopping earlier, did two stores (as I fancied a mooch about Aldi) and didn’t see a single sign of anything running short particularly.

Down here, I guess we JUST TOTTER ON.
 
Oh, I've been in training for self-isolation for the last decade so I should have it covered.

The supermarkets and Wilko were all pretty much out of liquid soap, apart from Baylis and Harding which seemed to be fully stocked. No sign of any tinned soup shortages here, despite rumours.
 
Lidl was nearly out of tins of beans. Which if the world is about to end, would be the last thing on my shopping list, but then there’s NOWT as QUEER as FOLK.
 
A previous shag of mine is currently DMing me on Instagram and trying to convince me he had corona virus in December.
 
Supermarket update:

We're in full blown hoarding mode up here since it was announced we had one case of coronavirus. My local supermarket was out of handwash, pain killers, pasta and cleaning sprays/wipes. Toilet roll, bleach and tinned products were low in stock. Bizzarely people seemed to be stocking up on eggs as well.
 
Were they out of vinegar as well? Perhaps people are pickling for the apocalypse.
 
Several events/concerts I have tickets to are now on the verge of being cancelled because of this and I'm PISSED.
 
The worst thing about coronavirus is my mother on whatsapp sending me all kind of (fake/alarming) news every 5 minutes. The last one is a video that says our mobile has 18 times more bacterias than the toilet :zombie:

Speaking of MS ROSS, Glastonbury's got to be another big one to watch, isn't it?

I mean at what point in a worst case scenario are they anticipating all this blowing over?

The WHO and governments know this isn't going to kill millions, but because its highly contagious they're treating it as such as practice for DISEASE X which would be both contagious and deadly. Like a dress rehearsal stress test to see how the global economy and infrastructure cope in a potentially deadly global pandemic.

:D now I’m imagining like the smoking man from X Files writing his report “World is not ready for disease X yet” and stamping it *POSTPONED* with a sigh. Then putting it in an office document storage box with a canister of Disease X
