Maybe it’s a convenient excuse but the gym’s one of the only places I’m taking a conscious decision to avoid at the moment...

I saw absolutely no extra reactions in town today. Hard to believe people maybe aren't quite over reacting as much as has been suggested. Although my mother had to put some of her loo rolls in the garage, she bought so many

On the plus side...if you find yourself short of a few sheets in a couple of months time, you know who to call...

I just don't GET why toilet paper of all things is the most important thing. I mean if you don't have any food then you're not going to be shitting either.

And worst comes to worst, it's not like I couldn't just nick some from work or go all India.

Because you can eat many things and supermarkets are full of food, but the only product for that is toilet paper.

Supermarkets don’t keep much stock of toilet paper, and it takes up a lot of shelf space. Rather than there being a massive rush on buying it, the slightest increase has made it sell out. The media has just blown it out of proportion and made other people panic.

But that's the problem. It's just too easy to make people panic.

How you doing? Did you manage to get out?
Yes, thanks. :) In Rome at the airport.

The decree was signed last night though I think airports are still running flights out of Milan this morning so it might have been a bit of a knee jerk reaction.

Just need to concern myself with avoiding my parents for two weeks now.

China reporting its lowest daily number of new cases since January.

Oh that's a bit older than I realised. I though CET was a US time zone.

first cases reported here today. what a slight to all the prominent local psychics (yes, that's a thing) who predicted it wouldn't affect us...

Germany still having no deaths is annoying me a little bit. They ALWAYS need to do better than us

Wait, what? Psychics? :D

yes, clairvoyants!

like silvio berlusconni's bulgarian fortune teller (she gets her info from an invisible alien called unilson or something)
teodora-stefanova.jpg

or our prime minister's numerologist who said a few days that his mighty aura is protecting the country from the bad virus.

and of course, vanga, the queen of sight beyond sight. she predicted it way before she died in 1996!

My local supermarket not only has Andrex in stock, it's on a special offer!

Supermarket update: plenty of toilet paper and dried pasta in Manchester. I considered helping by shouting out 'PANIC' whenever I put something non-perishable in my basket, but managed to resist.

Aldi update. Stocked but busy. Joked about panic buying. Lady on the till say they're making huge daily profits in the last week from panic buying :side-eye:

It's hard trying to remain optimistic about humanity, isn't it?

But then surely it evens out. I mean, it’s not as if toilet roll goes out of date...

You can see why they're so angry. All of those women have 'irritable bowel syndrome' written all over them.

I’m legit the worst for stocking my fridge

I may have to do a weekly shop in case we go in to lock down
