GOOD LUCK KATE! We're WITH YOU!

Well, we're not, but we're sending love.

Thankfully my brother, still isolated in China, has been in their ear so they have plenty of hoarded tins and the like.

So is enforced isolation (like Italy, France, Spain) still happening in China? Or is it advised isolation like in the UK?

As far as I know he's still in enforced isolation. Any news of China returning back to life is premature. It's been over two months now.

i keep wondering if you can get it and get over it without developing symptoms at all?
the only thing i've found to that effect is some american basketball player saying he tested positive but is feeling great.

Our nursery has emailed to say they will still charge us for the first 4 weeks of any closure because they just won't survive otherwise :(

It’s sad but the fact they are charging without asking if it’s okay is absolutely awful. Perhaps if they’d worded it so they could ask people to pay then it might have been better, but there’s going to be families that won’t be able to afford this either because there’s people not working now!

Thats half the problem, a lot of people have no symptoms but are infectious.

It is actually in their terms and conditions when you sign up, they have a section for illness and pandemics.

Friends are saying I am being over cautious keeping my son off school. Unlike some I do not use school as a BABYSITTING SERVICE. He is 13 and quite self sufficient if I need to go out and leave him for a bit. I don’t care if I am being over cautious to be honest.

My teacher friends are telling me more kids are off than in now. I’m not sure what they’d teach if that is the case anyway.

According to STV news this morning Scottish schools are likely to be closed by the weekend.

We're taking Ron Jr out of school tomorrow once Ms Ron can skive work. Apparently she managed to park right outside school yesterday which is impossible on a normal day, so we're not the only ones.

Someones not thought this through...

I'm leaving my flat for the first time since Friday to go to the supermarket for some stuff, I don't know what I'm going to find out there. I'll report back, we should have a thread for supermarket panic scenes.

We have a very empty office today - loads of people working from home and at least one definite skiver with no symptoms at all who has done nothing but moan for the last week or so and clearly took the news that staff who self-isolated would be paid as normal as a cue.

I reckon work's about 50% capacity and we've been told to spread around. I've taken the opportunity to find a nice desk in a corner, which means I can shitpost on Moopy more.

Timperley and Village Conservatives should be more concerned about visiting the dentist than coronavirus
