I am legit worried about those reliant on food banks.I hope it's not TOO hand wringing to say I worry about those children whose school dinner is the only guaranteed meal they get.

BS of course. In lighter news I’ve had two heavily forwarded whatsapp messages claiming Prince Phillip DEAD as a result of covid-19

If people aren't scared they won't take any precautions and they'll all still be down the fucking pub. It's necessary. The scaremongering is really fucking me off. People speculating it will go on for 18 months as well. FUCK. OFF.

Time to cancel all exams. They're just a memory test.
They will go on predicted grades. That's IF they have a university intake, if they're back to normal by then. Unless they decide to do it all online. If they can manage that then they could really do most courses by distance learning. The Open University have managed for years successfully, and having studied with them, their course material is among the best.
They are in part. Obviously application is part, but FROM MY EXPERIENCE as someone with a bad memory that's what the process was - a test of my memory and memory techniques. I learnt the most pointless acronyms, visual reminders and other nonsense just to get through. I learned nothing!I mean, they literally aren't.
Several people I've spoken to are suffering from very high anxiety levels.Along with schoolkids and food bank users I am worried about people with fragile mental health for whom the prospect of months and months of isolation (enforced by the ARMY!) could tip them over the edge.

I really think it's testing the best of us.I had to take advantage of the mental health support in work today. I'm OK, it just bubbled over for a minute or two and I stopped making sense.
Behind doctors and nurses, supermarket workers are probably the most exhausted and the most exposed to the infectionI was just in a wee Tesco. Their hours have changed from 6am-11pm to 10am-6pm. They have signs up at the till asking customers not to shout or be rude to the staff.![]()

But I accept coursework is a far more a successful test of my abilities, so I am biased.
Just had a conversation with my dad and not being able to go to the pub seemed to be his biggest disappointment.Pubs are begging people to come along until they get forced to shut down. Guess people are just trying to support them.
I will be so FUCKED OFF if he dies when I'm not in work anyway. It would do much more for public morale if he could wait until we're all back to work as normal and then give us the extra day off as a treat. In lighter news I’ve had two heavily forwarded whatsapp messages claiming Prince Phillip DEAD as a result of covid-19
