Well this feels rather FRESH after yesterday’s Moopy 2012 watch-a-long. This is not a bad song at all, but the wind in the sails of 2012 were truly deflated when she went onto stage with all her problems, like having a great time at a houseparty and then someone pulls you into the bathroom for a ‘talk.’

It is 4:45am and Soluna is still crying about her lack of romantic foresight. My phone is dead and I can no longer hear the other party guests, the jubilant singing of La La Love now a distant memory. With horror, I realise Soluna is now about to talk about her troubled upbringing…

I think beyond everything what this round of Moopyvision helped me realise is that Danish people really ARE history's greatest monsters when it comes to national finals. HURDLE AFTER HURDLE of MoR trash and basically every year has a poppers-tastic :disco:-a-thon that was left crying in the wings as a result. I mean Ditte Marie was rejected TWICE with songs gayer than a prolapsed purse for New Tomorrow and Soluna!


 
Poor Soluna, I couldn't remember it from before like 95% of this nonsense but when ranking this morning it's quite lovely actually.

A bit Anna Bergendahl "This Is My Life" mixed with Sheryl Crow.

What could possibly go wrong!

That we are now into the top 5 and THIS had made it really speaks for how shameful Denmark have been this past decade. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with what I dislike most about this. As I was rewatching I found myself animating a lion onto the stage and imagining how many of Basim and his backing singers could get mauled before they took the show off air. Literally every youtube comment makes some reference to Bruno Mars and it’s that sort of shameless MOR trend-chasing nonsense that makes this so unlistenable. I heard this on the radio once and have not turned one on again since!

It was my 12 in spite of the piss weak vocals. This probably says quite a lot about the general strength of the Danish entries.
