Saturday of the week

Ron Jr set me a challenge that I couldnt spend all night in there, which was easy because I had ket and beer. I slept soundly.

His side of the deal was that he would try mushrooms, which hes now regretting.

I do like mushrooms but they make me feel like I’m going to shit myself all the time, apparently doing an alcohol extraction to make a tincture gets rid of that so I’m going to try it next time I grow a batch

Speaking of which last night Ms Ron drunkenly invited some mates over today and I’ve just had to talk them out of it. :(

My noo phone is being delivered by Andresz within the next 90 minutes.

I know, I know but he'll have PPE and my phone is buggered - I got a better staff discount by jumping now. :shy:

Saturdays feel so damn long when you’ve got nothing to do. It’s 7am and the only thing I have to look forward to is going for a walk at 10.

No shame in getting things delivered. You can't expect the world to stand still forever. He'll probably leave it on the step anyway and ring the bell and then wait a distance away while you answer the door and pick up the package.

I can’t even bear the walks any more. All that dystopia and abandonment, not to mention the death avoidance dance. Why not treat yourself to a Führerstandsmitfahrt video? :disco:

Exactly how it happened. Feel better now.

It’s gorgeous out there today

During my run I did see a few people get moved on my the police in the park

it’s supposed to raining next week, which I’m sure will help lockdown rules

I had to do an online tobacconist order this morning, way more expensive than my usual tobacconist and no lovely chatting to the staff. :(

i didn’t even realise tobacconists were a thing anymore. I thought they died out in the 1990s...

There aren't many of them left and they are dying on their feet, I wouldn't be surprised if ours doesn't return after the lockdown but I hope it does. It's been there in town for several generations and it's where I get my menthol tobacco from (supermarkets don't sell it). It's a proper gentleman's emporium too, they sell straight razors and all the associated things (strops, mirrors, little bowl for your lather, shaving brushes made of badger hair, dainty silver holders for all the shaving accoutrements), hairbrushes, shoebrushes, walking canes, those canes that turn into stools, snuff boxes, cigarette cases as well as any kind of lighter you fancy (zippo, windproof, electric), fags, cigarellos, all the flavours of tobacco, filters, papers, humidors and cigars that cost anything from a pound to hundreds of pounds each that come in wooden boxes filled with straw. It's a family business, always has been, but James' kids aren't interested in taking over so I think he'll be the last in the line which is sad. It's actually a pleasure going in there and chatting with the staff and other customers, nobody ever goes in and just buys what they want then leaves, it's like a social-experience for outcasts. I usually buy an hour's parking round the corner and there's many times I've had to run out quickly before my parking runs out (Bolton traffic wardens hover near your car as the time's running out, they're like Hitler).

On the tobacconist front, there’s one in Victoria as well. Or, at least, there WAS

We've got one tobacconist in an indoor market. I've probably been in three times, the last about 10 years ago. One of my old bosses was a bit of a cigar aficionado and didn't mind spending ridiculous amounts for a single cigar, so we got him about 5 from there as a retirement present.

On a couple of other occasions prior to that I'd only been in when I was hunting for props for my friend who worked in the theatre. They were always quite obliging for a credit in the programme.

Bikini weather today girls. I have the barbecue on, and have made some amazing twister ice cream cocktails. :disco:
