Oh my. Was there no investigation or search for his body?Quite lovely, isn’t it? Well there’s no proof that he IS dead. There was no report in the Thurrock Gazette or what not. In fact no evidence WHATSOEVER! She just presumed he must have deliberately killed himself because he never came back begging for another delicious helping of Mum Zu’s infamously popular bobs and vagene![]()
Only one ever came back after the flush and luckily I was able to flush it again successfully before the spawn saw it.
But surely they don’t actually drown? Or is it the whoosh of the flush which finishes them off? I mean it’s not like chucking DYING MICE down thereYou're too kind <3I will be clapping for Bernard at 8pm tonight. Who of my friends will be brave enough to share? #ClapForBernard
It's really cruel flushing them apparently..it's a painful and slow death and bad for the environment. In other news whenever it was time for a goldfish to shuffle off this mortal coil I just flushed them down the toilet as that's the quickest way to fishy heaven. Only one ever came back after the flush and luckily I was able to flush it again successfully before the spawn saw it.
I mean no death is pleasant to be fair. Years ago I had a fish and I needed to kill it so I put it on a plate in the sun in the garden and left it for 10 mins.
! What is this horror show? For God’s sake someone CALL THE RSPCA!

I really should stop getting pets.
I've learnt since then. I now use Mandy and a saucepan.HAHAHA fucking hell. As well as not being able to BREATHE the poor cunt was simultaneously BOILED ALIVE and tortured by a fucking GIANT.
Just flush the poor bastards next time.
I just like to have my next victim lined up...Already replacing poor Bernard! That was a BRIEF mourning period! At least wait for the body to go cold!
Sorry RitaThis thread makes me feel SICK TO MY STOMACH.![]()
my pets are loved and cared for really.Sorry Ritamy pets are loved and cared for really.
Sounds like it.
I have a very spoilt cat and rabbit. And the fish was killed in the most humane way.I've learnt since then. I now use Mandy and a saucepan.
I'm ordering clove oil. And trying to find somewhere that will sell me fish in lockdown.
Oh yes pleaseThe pet shop across the road from me is still open and has loads of fish, want me post you some?
a jiffy bag should do.I have a very spoilt cat and rabbit. And the fish was killed in the most humane way.
He had dropsy and was pineconing. I didn't just wake up and think "bit bored of day 56 of furlough, might kill a fish for fun".What was actually WRONG with the fish?

Pineconing sounds FILTHY.
Pretty muchIs it basically where they start swanning around with a glistening necklace of turd hanging from their nethers?

Because it was sufferingBut I don't understand: why did this fish need to DIE? Was it being euthanized or something?
he had been sat on the bottom of the tank for 2 days barely moving and bloating even more. I looked at ways to treat him but the the time they get that bloated it means their organs are failing so couldn't be saved. So rather than leaving him to slowly die in pain and be eaten by the shrimp, it was kinder to kill him.Sounds like me working from home. DON’T PUT ME DOWN TOO RACHEY!Because it was sufferinghe had been sat on the bottom of the tank for 2 days barely moving and bloating even more.

if you are also bloating and not eating, then I can't guarantee I won't kill youHe had dropsy and was pineconing. I didn't just wake up and think "bit bored of day 56 of furlough, might kill a fish for fun".
Yeah I did try the pea thing but it didn't work. Bettas are ridiculously hard to keep in the water we've got down here. I need hardy fish I think. My harlequins are doing really well and I test the water weekly, so I know it's more the fish than the living conditions. One of my goldfish used to get dropsy and I'd just feed him a frozen pea every couple of days and he'd be fine again for months. He wasn't tropical or anything and lived on his own, I suppose that's more difficult to do with lots of other fish in the tank.

What you need is fairground goldfish, they're bombproof and can live for decades in the skankiest conditions.

omg I know right!! They never die. But my tank is too small for goldfish. They need a lot of space. Were they expensive koi carp?My dog picked a fish up out of our pond once and tried to bring it inThis was AFTER half of the fish WENT MISSING
I have no idea, the last time I saw the fish was when the pond froze during the BEAST FROM THE EAST and we had to put them all in a bucket before they SUFFOCATEDWere they expensive koi carp?
