I have SO MUCH WORK TO DO but fuck it, I'd rather pretend I'm the Christer Bjorkman and listen to potential entries for my country instead
 
I’ve had quite the revelation for a potential representative of my country. I just don’t know whether to play that particular card....
 
Though I need to remember this is the easy bit, listening to forty odd songs on the other hand :D
 
We’re not going to listen to all of them at once? We’re having two rounds or at least that’s what I understood (which means very little).
 
Loads of entries in already, clearly you're all certain of your song. I gave everyone a week to mull it over. I won't allow any changes after submission. So make sure you are sure! Will reply to all those who sent today tomorrow.

I agree; 31 songs in a single week for ASFM was too much to get to know all the songs; this would need two weeks minimum I'd have thought.
 
I need to stop editing my bio and PM-ing Kala each time with the new, even better than it already was, finished paragraph.

50 words for snow was a surprise classic and so is my 50 words for internet gays with no sense when to stop.
 
So I randomly chose a couple of countries with no songs in mind, got one of them, and now I'm forced to find a song connected to that country, instead of a song I really love. I still have no idea what I'm going to submit, but I don't really care how well I do, to be honest. But hey ho! :)

I've changed my bio because it looks like SorB is putting loads of effort into his and I got jealous and insecure. I still think my song is an absolute brute that will more than speak for itself, but there's no harm in making the garnish look nice.

I'm just saying that I can't send one of those songs I really love and are not well known like Sweet true lies, I have to actually find a song for this and I find it a bit tedious, given the limitations. I know that this might be a process others enjoy it, going through charts and finding something good; I think it's a bit boring. That's all.

I've absolutely loved the grind of finding a song. I've got over a dozen country-specific playlists on my Spotify now, I think it's awakened something within me.

Did you know that Afghanistan has a RIDICULOUSLY good music scene?

Yeah, and that's probably the point of Kalavision. I think it has to be with kamikaze Alla choosing this country :side-eye::D

I am loving it too, I am so glad I just picked a country first and then went looking for a song. The nonsense and brilliance I have found so far is great. I am sad I can only submit one, instead of doing an hour long lecture on all of them.

Yeah, I whittled mine down to three and there were a few tears along the way. I'm actually looking forward to the 'What else would you have sent' thread so I can unleash these other beasts.

this is what I just don’t understand about all this. A load more people signed up for this than ASFM, but then don’t like the rules?

I feel it’s like going to a cinema, buying a ticket for Fast & Furious and saying “why do I have to watch all these cars?”

Seriously, what the hell? First at all, I would play anything ran by Kala. I'm enjoying all the drama, the rules constantly changing and everything else A LOT, more than I'll enjoy the voting and how well I do, sorry if I'm more interested in some other aspects of the game rather than being excited about my song or being 6th, 16th or whatever in the final. What is wrong with you?

Kalavision is the best thing that has happened in my life since lockdown.

Oh dear, don't take it seriously! As I said, I went mental and chose a country that is a massive challenge for me, not sure why, maybe for the drama and torture myself a bit more. But that shouldn't surprise you. :) Love you, you fool. x
