Well jel. That's the annoying thing about London, there's just nowhere to go :( I'm sure we will end up at the park today.

I'll probably spend it in the garden. Maybe treat myself to a trip to the co-op for some essential ice cream.

Just browsing bird tables on amazon at the moment. They don't look very sturdy.

Which will probably be mega busy, right? I can’t imagine not living by the sea. If I’m away too long I feel claustrophobic and I always drive up and down the seafront on my way home just to ground myself.

Our Co-Op has a hazelnut chocolate ice cream in their finest range and is truly one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. And I normally hate chocolate ice cream. #icecreamtips

I've bought a couple from Argos before and they haven't lasted long.

I'm not a fan of nuts in ice cream, I'm afraid.

Actually I may go for a sorbet. It needs to be light and fruity.

Oh absolutely, nightmare just trying to get parking usually. Last week we drove to a little priory close to us, it was so rammed just getting up the road there we left without getting out the car. Honestly I absolutely hate having no where to go.

Free standing ones?

Most of the wooden ones look like a gust of wind would blow them over, and probably like they wouldn't stand more than a year of the elements before rotting.

Yes both freestanding, about the £20 mark. But exactly that happened! The house bit fell off after a few knocks.
I'm always a bit weary about feeding the birds, I like to put bits of bread and stuff out for them but I worry the neighbours won't like it.

If you're doing it in your own garden, what the fuck business is it of your neighbours?

Last Saturday my neighbours were burning all their rubbish on a fire in the garden just after lunch, we had thick black smoke and toxic fumes. So we went out for a walk and others seemed to be having bonfires too. I could have screamed for some fresh air.

I was slightly tempted by a mini incinerator from the middle at Lidl last week.

Then I quickly remembered I'd be homeless after I burned the house down.

We used to have a neighbour who would just burn stuff all the time. We think he went looking for stuff to burn because it pleased him. One time, he set light to a tyre and then went out for the day leaving this acrid smoke billowing over the street.

My dad got the hose out, took aim and fired. Success.

I just want to do a bit of dead shrubbery. Not in the current climate, obviously. Fed up with paying extra for the council to come and collect it. Clearly just over two grand council tax isn’t enough.

God how I hate myself for writing this.

We put a note through their door the other day with a 'polite request to stop burning plastic'. Lets see.

What a BUNCH of CUNTS. I hate people who seem to think OOH IT'S A NICE DAY I THINK I'LL SPOIL IT BY LIGHTING A MASSIVE FIRE AND KIPPERING EVERYONE

Surprisingly for D*ily M*il land that doesn't happen as much round here as other places I have lived

I've got CHEEKY MICE that eat the bird food and I couldn't care less

How much is your garden waste collection? I only get the summer service which is £45

You pay £21 for a green bin, then it's £32 a year. That covers all year, except for I think a month around Christmas. Fortnightly collection.

Or you can just buy paper sacks for £1 each, but they are pretty much half full just with one mow of the lawn, and our lawn is probably only half the size of yours.

Normally we get through the year on ten bags, but because I've spent more time in the garden this spring (and oh! the endless bramble!) I've done that in the last six weeks.

The council did suspend garden waste collection initially in lockdown, but they resumed it again at the start of May.

My green bin collection is free :)

(Which gave the council full pleasure to cancel collections for two full months, only resuming again this week)

I was thinking of getting a bird table, and positioning it somewhere you can see from the patio doors, as entertainment for the (indoor) cats. If there are mice as well, that's two for the price of one!

Who CARES what the neighbours think. They were having lockdown parties several times the bunch of inconsiderate cunts! I’m sure they won’t mind a few rats bringing up the numbers.

It's so selfish. We'd have a washing to put out and then...oh dear, wtf is that *sniff sniff* Christ, is he burning a fucking cowpat or something?

He's dead now RIP etc.

Worryingly my flat mate is still packing and the movers are arriving in 40 minutes. Best make myself presentable seeing as these will be the only men in my flat for the foreseeable future.

Last day of countrysiding. I think I’ve had my share of bird chirpings and goat yellings. Can’t wait to be back in my one bedroom studio tbh.
