'Good luck, 'cos we're not feeling stoned in love'. I always used to think it was 'good love is when I'm feeling stoned in love'. Completely changes the complexion of the song.

I'm going to have to listen to it immediately.
 
I've recently got into the Chicane karaoke version of Carry Me Home, which has the singer who sang that song called Mother on it. Not essential, but I love it.

It's absolutely the lyric I've been needing so it's infinity out of 10 for me right how.

Tom's live battle with the song on totp is very compelling, where I like to think he's purposefully singing the song as Tom Jones (yes I know he is that, but you get the point) instead of as the Feelin' Fine singer the producers made him sing the verses like :D

His vocals were altered in production so they were in a higher register than he sang them in originally. Poor bastard probably had no idea what was going on when he came to sing it live.

Apparently he still busts it out during his live shows even now.
 
Well, speaking of songs called Fly Away. This was a focus for me back in 2005 when I belatedly disco-very'd it after a uni friend played it for us all.

First set of votes in. I'm working through the list now, and I know full well I'm going to have to fuck over some songs I'd otherwise have given points to.
 
Bit brassed off that the 13 minute Sacred Mix of ‘Passion’ doesn’t appear to be on YouTube. I was hoping to treat you all :evil:
 
Miisa has a Scouse face so I went to look her up and found she died of cancer at 46 and now I'm sad and really should book my smear test :(
