I love pomegranate. Cut in half and then bash the outsides with a wooden spoon to make the fruit fall out.

You know, I tried this at least a dozen times and I only ever get half the seeds out. Then you have the pulp going everywhere and juice splattering over the kitchen counter. Life's too short for pomegranate (unless you buy the seeds for extortionate prices in M&S or Tesco).

yeah I get my watermelon precut (with the skin still on). It’s a lot less faff and easier to store.

I usually buy watermelon by the quarter from a greengrocer. There's something very satisfying about slicing watermelon for some reason. Probably because I've got a lovely fuck off big knife I don't use for much else.
