I'm becoming increasingly concerned by the non appearance of CJ Penis and Ultra Nate.
 
Of the Guetta/Sia collabs I'm much more of a She Wolf queen, but this one is undeniable too.

2011, France/Australia, No. 1 smash! Titanium was co-written by Guetta and Sia. Sia’s vocals are actually the demo, and Mary J Blige was intended to be the featured vocalist. Blige had actually already recorded the version intended for release, but the decision was made at the last minute to use the Sia version instead – Sia herself knew nothing about it until it was already in the charts, which pissed her off just a touch as she’d just retired from singing. All of the above explains why she was such a pretentious bellend and wouldn’t show her face on TV for the first few years of her solo career. She’s since decided to be less of a pretentious bellend, which has been a great boon for fans of plain women.
 
Titanium is great. It would be greater if it weren't for the horrid EDMy bit after the chorus.

1996, UK, No. 1 smash in 1997! Well bugger me sideways, I never realised these were British! The lead singer, Ruth-Anne Boyle, is actually from BREXIT SHAME Sunderland, the Britishest place in Britain. She was a former pub manageress and assembly-line operative, two fine British occupations, before moving into music (Which is a bit Italian if you ask me, but there we go.) I’m quite surprised this came in the lower half of the top 50, given that it seems to be universally liked. It's been covered a few times, most notably by ATB in 2002, and again by Astræa for that Lloyds advert that’s on all the fucking time.

There was some weird 6 Music acoustic singer songwritery thing a few years ago that 'interpolated' You're Not Alone, wasn't there? @Kate will probably know what I'm talking about.
 
Well, if we're onto Olive now, I only just discovered 2 videos were shot for this so I'm guessing it wasn't a hit at first. The song is on a higher plane of perfection.
 
Still listening, but everything has been from meh to very good, no more aaahhh moment so far. Which is good, they're all where they deserve, on top :disco:
