I think I'm going to bow out now, I'm nearly nodding off and that's WITH dance bangers keeping me going :( Good luck to whatever wins, and remember to join The Asexual Goose at 8pm tomorrow for Spicevision

2012, Sweden, No. 3 smash! This STATEMENT of a Eurovision winner achieved the highest chart position for a non-UK Eurovision song since 1987, which was quite the statement of intent for our Loreen which she never quite followed up on. Loreen’s full name is Lorine Zineb Noka Talhaoui, which is presumably what it says on her bank statements. Former winner Nicole has recorded a version in German, and the only statement I have to make about that is that it’s probably shit.

Yes it's nothing Tina Cousins didn't bellow before her, but Euphoria is incredible. There is a Dutch live performance of it and the audience are just so into it it's glorious.

N-Trance ft. Kelly Llorenna – Set You Free
Nominated by @Rita

When we touch each other
In a state of ecstas
Want this night to last forever
Only love can set you free

1994, UK, No. 2 smash in 1995! Bellowing bellend Kelly Llorenna scores herself a top 50 placing, but fails to reach the upper half of the list. This was remixed again in 2001 and reached number 4. Part of the video was filmed at Cliffords Tower in York, where a fireworks display was coincidentally booked to take place that night, which can be seen in the video. Fun fact: I went on Cameo to try and get a personalised message from Kelly to start the final off. Sadly she’s not on there, which seems uncharacteristically attention-shy for her.

I meant to take it easy tonight so I was in tip top shape for Mme Goose but I'm on my third wine and off my TITS to these songs. Apologies in advance.

1977, USA, No. 1 smash! I really don’t think I need to write this one up, do I? It was sampled in Berri’s ‘Sunshine After the Rain’, it’s enshrined in the Library of Congress national recording registry as a recording cultural, historical or aesthetic importance, and him in the wheelchair off Glee sang it on celebrity X-Factor last year. Donna Summer herself died of 9/11 in 2012. You’re not reading this, though, are you? You’re just listening. Possibly masturbating.

I would support an actual disco playlist prepared by someone knowledgable at some point. 'I Feel Love' is amazing but it doesn't really seem like it belongs with the rest of these songs.
