1997, USA, No. 4 smash! Ultra Naté is, astoundingly, her real name. She’s still working pretty solidly, and collaborated with the other one from Destiny’s Child a few years ago. No, not Beyonce, the other one. No, not Kelly. This became a gay anthem due to its empowering lyrics, apparently. She had another song in our top 250, ‘Automatic’, which didn’t fare quite as well.

Originally an album track by ambient electro group Delerium, this was reworked into a trance classic by Belgian producers Airscape.
