Dua Lipa - Levitating (ft. The Blessed Madonna, Madonna & Missy Elliott)

pleased with Madge's vocal performance. it fits the melody. Missy was a little unnecessary though. she sounded a little forced and out of place.

the new instrumental though. oh dear. they attempted to COAD-mix it but it just sounds like an outdated 2007 YouTube fan-made remix.

is this remix supposed to carry the era all the way to 2022? i have to laugh. unrelease it sis.

we've been fed so called scam remixes by the likes of JLO, Katy Perry, Ariana and Mariah for almost 20 years that we've forgotten what ACTUAL remixes are about :D
 
These A-List collab tracks never live up to their hype. But this is relatively decent tbh.
 
is Dua really an A-lister? she's big in Europe but Don't Stop Now is her second hit in the U.S.

anyway if she is an A-lister then she should definitely be downgraded to B-list for doing Levitating this dirty.

of COURSE Dua Lipa is A-list :D she's the 3rd most streamed artist globally on Spotify right now! and she's had at least four big US hits, features notwithstanding.
 
Well this is better than I thought it was going to be.

I Quite like it and yes, much more Madonna than I thought there was going to be.

I did think Madonna's bit is just a bit TOO FAST, I know its the point but my god its like she's a autotuned squirrel on speed.

She doesn't sound bad though, Dua's richer voice sounds better though. I like it. Did they do a proper video with Madonna ft Eye patch and crutches? :disco:

her album debuted outside of the top 3 in the world's biggest music market with 66k album-equivalent units, of which only 18k were pure album sales. streaming isn't really a telling indictor of A-listers. Tones and I was the 2nd most streamed artist on Global Spotify because of Dance Monkey. hardly an A-lister is she though?

if Chromatica scanned Future Nostaliga's numbers in the U.S. y'all would be calling her Z-list..... suddenly Gaga's depressed lyrics make sense. :o

I mean I’m sure there will be a remix eventually that is just the original with a DONK ON IT - who is currently in favour, Seventh Heaven, Purple Disco Machine..?
 
Trying to claim Dua isn't A list right now is frankly ludicrous. The album was a global #1 on iTunes regardless of what it 'only' sold in the US.

Streaming is pretty good indicator of A listers when it's on top of sales and not just based on one hit.
 
I must say...and I am FULLY AWARE that this AGES me, but when I was young, A-listers were the likes of Bowie, Madonna, Jacko, Prince etc. Today’s A-listers...bloody hell... :(

I'm down with that.

I've just purchased the £40 box set thing and I have the picture disc and the CD. I don't have the pink vinyl but I think @Sheena said it was horribly warped or something so I've avoided it..

Not that I want to tempt you for a further copy of the album but I think Shee just got unlucky, my pink vinyl sounds great and that definitely isn't the case for everything I put on my record player.
