Are we just pretending MONDAY doesn't exist?

This is the least monday monday I've had in months. I started the day with some guided meditation/mindfullness and I've been productive since.

Just had to tell a guy I don’t want to go on a third date with him and now I’m riddled with anxiety and hiding under the covers. This is why I don’t date.

I was thinking more RuPauls drag race style.

“Harvey, your dick was so solid, but now you’ve got 21 seconds to go, I’m sorry my dear but you’re up for elimination”

It isn't nice but I'd be the rejectee 100 times if it meant never being the rejectED.

I went on a date on Saturday with a boy who seems quite keen and I'm just waiting for it to spiral downhill.

I'm off work today so it's Tuesday that I'm pretending doesn't exist. I'm meant to be going for a pub lunch with my sister but we need to sit outside on account of the lockdown and it has just started drizzling.

Take your positive attitude to the Friday thread, it has NO place here :oi:

It's OK, I've just been quoted $60k a year for something we currently pay $100 a month for, I'm not positive anymore.

Anyone else in the middle of a big storm at the moment? It's been going on for over an hour here. It was right on top of us, it's been about 5 miles away for a little while now (going by the old 'count how many seconds between the lightning and thunder to work out how many miles away it is' trick)

Also a large (and heavy!) metal curtain railing fell bang directly on the top of my head earlier when I was trying to DRAW the curtains open and I am still a little in SHOCK

My best friend fell 2 weeks ago, drunk. She broke her arm in 2 places and also her elbow. She has had 3 ops and has lost all feeling in her right hand now. The doctor said this morning it is unlikely she will get the feeling back. What a horrible freak accident. :(

Oh I much prefer them rejecting me.

I hate dumping people. I still remember the heart-wrenching sobs welling up in the eyes of my date who I decided I wasn’t that keen on after he fell asleep during the Haneke and droned on about his awful exes over our exquisite supper at the Pizza Express :(

And then there was the awful grubby South African who took to sending me letters which featured drawings of his future life on the coast and imaginary dog

Better to be DUMPED

I asked you very politely not to bring that night up, I was most upset :(

Just use a response from Judges Houses when they send someone home.

I don’t know why Lucille hasn't thought of this, given that we all know he goes full Rylan when he's on the receiving end.

I mean we’d only been out twice, I tried finding an excuse to turn down his invitations and then just ignoring him first.

That sounds awful. Is she right handed?

Also :D:D:D at basing one’s approach to dumping people on what they say at JUDGES’ HOUSES!

I think after two dates you do need to give them some sort of explanation, even if it is based on something Sinitta said about being nasal and pitchy and not ready for fame and glamour

Oooh I too have a third date that I need to decide what to do with too. I managed to stall with the holidays, but I’ll soon need to make my mind up. The thing is I don’t want to be a bitch like that Lucille.

Actually one I CAN recommend is SORRY RINGWORM. I did that with someone who turned out to be absolutely disgusting, was borderline abusive to his clearly mentally unwell flatmate, and treated me to a romantic meal at CHICKEN COTTAGE

JOB DONE!

God it’s pissing it down here

thinking of putting the heating on

I’d never ghost someone I actually went on a date with

I might make up an excuse about why I don’t want to go on a second date but that’s a whole different story
