Wednesday gets wet

I'm now trying to imagine a Moopy Union - once the staff team elections are over (MOAR VOTES PLZ), the rest of the site unionizes and holds regular meetings about Trophy Points with the admin.

I hear that all the time as a union steward. Nothing will get done if we don’t have the numbers on our side. The more members you have, the more clout you have collectively.

Also if you’re not happy with your stewards, YOU should become one and get things done. No point whining if you’re doing fuck all about it.
I’m lucky here in the sense that our actual union rep is VERY vocal (and retiring soon, so Citizen Butters already has the scent of blood...) and one of the managers is doggedly pro-union. It’s the actual staff who let it down; some upcoming strike action has been backed by the union members with a thumping majority and yet there are so few members in the office It will barely be noticed.

I've never cleaned my bedroom windows as I only realised about 3 weeks ago that they open INWARDS after two years in the flat.

I did this too! I used to live in a horrendously busy street and my windows were constantly filthy from pollution, I used to hang outside the windows trying to clean them, but on the day I left the flat I realised you could swing them in. :D

I don’t think the windows in this house have been cleaned since it was built HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO.

I’m only conscious of DIRTY WINDOWS as it’s in my rental contract to keep them clean. :eyes:

Is it lunch time yet I'm fucking STARVING.

YES I've quit smoking for the NINTH time this year, yes I'm eating like a PIG as a result.
I don’t think I’d have coped with this year without nicotine. That’s not an encouragement for you to start smoking again, mind. You’ve done really well etc.

It’s CHEESE ON TOAST for lunch as I CANT BE ARSED to make my smoked salmon and spinach omelette.

I'd quit between January and March, then took it up again in April out of sheer BOREDOM. If there's a full on winter lockdown I will of course be taking it up again. If I could stick to 10 a day it'd be fine, but I have zero self control and get through 20/30 a day without breaking a sweat.

I quit (mostly) smoking by limiting when I could do it. So I went to "just when I have a drink" and did that for years, but then went to "just when I'm drunk enough to actually really want one, rather than the first sip" and it's revolutionised me. I have one really occasionally now- mainly if I'm high and if I'm spectacularly pissed (which makes me even more pissed...YAY!).

The downside is where I don't take them out with me, I have about 20 packets of fags with two or three out of them that I've bought when I'm out :D

Drinking is my downfall, I can quit for 3 or 4 days, then as soon as I've had two pints I'm badgering for cigarettes, then I buy a pack, then I need a pack for the hangover...

Anyway this time around I'm having two weeks minimum off the booze until it TAKES.

It’s cold enough to pop the PORTABLE HEATER on today :disco:

it's still way too mild here for heating. saving money on utilities is so... :horny:

I've got friends who refuse to put the heating on until November. I'm trying to hold out until October personally.

We need to get our windows cleaned. But living top floor it isn't easy. Apparently window cleaners don't like doing top floor windows in case the neighbours below complain :gross:

Just like my favourite celebrity Katie Price, I always like to put the heating on at the earliest opportunity :disco:

I suppose you NEED to, when you're floating around the house in something diaphanous :disco:

Zu's MUCKY MANSION :disco:

:D Honestly, with her insistence on full blast central heating and wall to wall filth, her lovely mansion must REEK! Not like me. Not with my pricey (£1) room fresheners and expensive colognes :)

In other news, is Amitriptyline supposed to make you wake up feeling like the world has ended? Talk about bleak. Full-scale darkness and more!

Pretty sure my in laws were both prescribed amitriptyline (for pain) and both had a terrible time on it.

I’m only five days in but these things seem to take effect with me quite quickly. (I expect it’s because I’m quite pure and holy.) It settled a bit after my first espresso but URG if this is how it’s going to be

I've just had a spaghetti squash delivered (along with loads of other fruit and veg). I'm so excited. I've wanted to try this for ages but just never got round to buying it.

Oh someone oncr tried to convince me that "doesn't smell like cauliflower when it's cooked". COULD'VE FOOLED ME :emoji_disappointed_relieved:
