Leave a Trace is just the note I wanted to start this on - for me it immediately springs to mind as one of, say, five pop tracks that totally owned this decade. it's such an exciting song. the fat bass! the sparkly synths! Lauren's angelic vox gliding above it all! the chorus that gets a touch Avril Lavigne :disco: a true 12455 moment.

also peaked at the heady heights of #107, instantly setting the tone for an iconic semi-flop era for Chvrches :disco:

I still do not understand how this wasn't #1 like, everywhere. although the verses are unintelligible.

Right so Chris - I should LOVE it. I just like it. But the cuts from it I do Love. This is one of them. I just feel like I should Stan her and I don't. Maybe I'm more BREXIT Britain than I realise don't like how boyish/french she is?
 
for those who are not au fait, Ralph is a Canadian singer-songwriter. as the video clearly demonstrates she's not working with big budgets but I think it's a GORGEOUS PIECE OF ART. some of the choreo is ridiculous/sublime. it gives me a bit of New Rules, but by the pool and make it yoga.

this is the best song on her debut EP, but all of it is great.

Tease is AMAZING. Sounds kind of 80s.

I love Ralph in general. Plus Ralph is an amazing name for a female singer

I just started Stayaway. I actually hadn't listened to their second album yet and I really like this so far. Especially the verse melody and the production.
