I'm TRYING! Maybe because I still feel I didn't give it its deserved chance because for once she released an album when I was neither depressed nor broken![]()
I have always interpreted that as intentional - a stylistic choice to complement the dark premise. The mid section here gets a bit weak for me. She sounds a bit disengaged on "Money Power Glory"
THIS IS MY SHOW!ok this other half of the album (From West Coast onwards) I DO LIKE
10 Fucked My Way Up To The Top

It's beyond wig at this point. Queen has taken my dura mater.this run of several songs all about being sad, a capitalist vixen, a whore, super sad, a drag, pretty and tragic is kind of like the first half of the album she was having a ball of her time with her baby in Brooklyn taking all the good drugs, but then she came back to LA and ended up in a fucking hellish SEVEN DAY COMEDOWN.

Weeping and crying and sobbing (and shaking violently in the corner). I can't with this song sometimes"Old Money" devastates me every time. Perfect sample too.

if
you send for me

I'll come
and if
you call for me

christ if this doesn't start out as the absolute saddest, darkest, bleakest song of Lana Del Rey's whole career. it really is just MISERABLE.
sunset, small town. I'm out of time.
will you still love me when I shine
from words, but not from beauty?
it's beautiful. and from the second chorus onwards, when the strings become more pronounced, I feel like it becomes a slightly more hopeful song. yes, she's still desperate for him to call, but she believes that there is an escape for her. she is not totally doomed.
but it's never resolved, and by the end only the faintest glimmer of that hope remains.
AMAZING STUFF!

I would feel extremely sorry for her, if not for the fact that she's always seemed pretty well adjusted, happy enough living her stoner at the beach lifestyle, and playing out her SICKEST MORBID FANTASIES via the form of song. it's probably quite healthy really.I died a hundred times, whilst weeping and sobbing. This song. Oh Lana.![]()

If you're referring to yours and @Dark Carnoël's scores, then, yes bien sur it's full of lies.I love how this thread is full of LIES
