Morning dearies
where does the time go? I had a few online lessons, went grocery shopping, played a bit of Animal crossing and watched Drag Race. Sleepy...
have all your classes been converted to online?
and unrelated, do you still live by Daikokucho?

I feel like Sigourney Weaver in GhostbustersNo, it's sort of down to the students. I've noticed a bit of an upturn since New Year, but that might just be the holidays messing things up. On Friday I had 4 Zoom lessons and one face-to-face, meaning I had to go in
And no, I moved about a year ago, now I'm in Morinomiya with a few of Osaka Castle and the parkI feel like Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters

Morning loves.
Another day of “just about surviving” ahead
I’m going for a run, a swim and then cooking a roast at my Mum’s whilst watching the football. I’m so butch.
I know you get asked this a lot, but isn't it just FREEZING in the water? How do you not just freeze up??

ugh! well it's always good to get out of the house for a bit. look at you climbing the Osaka echelons. it must be lovely living by the park now, wasn't much nice to look at in the old area
except I bet you don't shop at Tamade anymore![]()
I'm usually going to Kohyo. There's a Life near here but the people there are rude and awfulHave you never seen those documentaries where they slather themselves all over with goose fat?![]()

And besides, goose fat?
I'M A VEGAN!
Have you tried a light coating of NUTRITIONAL YEAST?
Actually I wasn't living in Daikokucho, they just put us there for the training period. My actual apartment was in Abiko, a few stations south of Tennoji.
I think I've oversold my position, I'm in an old danchi but it's been renovated inside (on the cheap...). I've got a pretty decent sized apartment and it's not breaking the bank. But I AM in the worst financial position I've been in during my Japan time...
I never shopped thereI'm usually going to Kohyo. There's a Life near here but the people there are rude and awful

I did the cold water plunge at the Gellert baths in Budapest and I'm never getting in anything colder than piss again.
I also find it ASTONISHING when people say they’ve never swam in the sea in the UK. A friend of mine who grew up here has never even been in and I was absolutely AGOG.
In the summer, I’m rarely out of the sea. My favourite thing to do is to swim to places- so if I’m going to visit my friend who lives at the other end of the seafront or to a pub up that end, I’ll pack my waterproof swim bag and swim there and (often) swim back.

I find it so bizarre, but then I guess I’ve been brought up with it a part of my life, albeit my parents weren’t massive sea swimmers...
Kohyo looks expensive! how can you not want to shop at Tamade, it's great for a budget (and tinnitus)![]()
