it's very HIStory to be honest. I really appreciate this track and her experimental delivery but I'm also glad it's a one-off here.

It was more to sell albums than maintaining the top ten strings. No way Got Til It’s Gone wouldn’t have been an obvious top ten...
 
You has a bit of a nod towards Scream, her delivery reminds me of that. She’s got something to say and you will listen
 
"Got Till It's Gone" is really the only example of the mumble singing that WORKS.

I was never a huge fan of GTIG, shall see how it is now, haven’t heard it in years. Not a classic for me

She loved it. I remember both Joni & Janet separately saying that she'd given it her blessing and loved the song.
 
This doesn’t feel dated at all. I was 11 when this came out. Crazy.

She loved it. It was one of those Madonna-esque personal request things. She no doubt also earned a shitload of money :D

there are loads of sprinkles of acid jazz, acid piano, psychedelica across this album, often buried quite deep in the mix - it's such a hot sophisticated genre-hopping PLEASURE!
