Salvatore is where the album starts to veer into (its own special brand of) CAMP. thank god.

To be honest the whole album feels like that. Which is why I've never warmed to it. It felt like a 180 after UltraVIOLENCE.
I think thematically, yes, very been there done that. But the lyrics and melody feel a touch more recycled/box ticking on "Religion"

Salvatore makes me want to get fucked hard by an Italian on one of those steps in Positano by 40 degrees :disco:

Back IN IT now. And I'm a mobsters wife. Sad of course. Looking forlornly out my dirty window singing Salvatore.
My Salvatore look

Salvatore sounds like it should play in that section of The Godfather 2 where Michael goes back to Sicily and hides out on a farm and eventually murders everybody.

Lana "writes 15 soundtracks for masculine cinema classics" concept album NEXT PLEASE AND THANKYOU.

Why is there just so much MORE on the Blackest Day. It smells like a last minute record of a lead single, and yet it wasn't that at all? Quite strange.

It's so good. Probably the only song that comes anywhere near my Lana top 10.
