Jark.FM 7

this FUNK bassline from the ever reliable (and very remix friendly) Franc Moody is a real BUSSY SHUFFLER.

a little FUN!
JUST a little FUN!

coincidentally also Lucy's Grindr bio!

Franc Moody is so SLEPT ON

The 70s psychadelic funk movement lately needs to be explored more. I have so much goodness to share on this side of things.

you're all welcome to upload a SELFIE of yourselves AT THE CLUB btw! otherwise I'll have to think you're all in pajamas :(

the second the trumpet comes in on Blind I start to LOSE IT. I'm considering throwing my BANANAS on the FLOOR and DANCING on the TABLE.

I don't think I'M READY for MISS KNUCKLES but this song is really PREPPING ME

If anyone tries to fast forward a single second of Blind imma calling out DISCO DETENTION.

HERE WE GO!

god the vocal on Blind is absolutely INSANE.

that WARBLE. it fucking radiates SOUL and MYSTIQUE.

and when he goes into higher register... *melts into puddle of gay*

my straight best friend doesn't die for this (doesn't even like it) and that's how I know he's not one of us.

this is the very definition of the STARS ALIGNING.

There is literally nothing to improve on this song WHATSOEVER. It is PERFECT.

I'm not taking a selfie in basketball shorts and no shirt, having not shaved in a week. I look like a slob

it's 8 minutes long and somehow that's just not enough :D if they played this in a club I would SACRIFICE MYSELF. and I don't mean in the DARKROOM.

be-cause I feel BLIND
because I feel BLIND!

WE need to do a moopy thread on remixes that improve on the original a la "Sing it Back" and EBTG's "Missing"

And it should be sponsored by THIS FUCKING SONG

@RJN BEGGING us to BEG him for the selfie in (or out of) BASKETBALL SHORTS :eyes:

I think it's the peak of recorded music honestly.

even the OUTRO is HEAVEN. like when a guy pulls out but he's still there against the hole and neither of you is QUITE READY to LET GO.

Poor SG Lewis. Having to follow THIS!
I went for the newest, most throwaway, most commercial track to follow Blind. because why even TRY. it's a bit of a SOFT RESET.

I feel it keeps the energy UP though.

the outro when the trumpet and strings just DROP and then the bassline and we're left with that beat. CLASSIC FRANKIE. Classic tune. Classic of all classics.

My week just peaked.

Speaking of remixes, Mark Knight has certainly breathed new life into this. I think I prefer it.

This is like when ABBA's Dancing Queen just finished at a wedding party and the DJ is frantically trying to find something upbeat to keep all the aunties on the dancefloor. It's NOT EASY FOLLOWING A CLASSIC.

This makes me think of when I was 7 and I was at a wedding. I Will Survive came on and for some reason all the men sat down and only the women danced to it? But I just knew I had to dance. It was an early sign

Mark Knight just gets it. his Drowning In Your Love remix with Jem Cooke hasn't been recognised ENOUGH as the recent classic it is.
