I used to smoke weed with my goth friends as a teenager.

Doing what exactly? Digging graves? Are graveyards not full of people doing community service?

Oh wow. Community service is for criminals and I'm pretty sure us dole scum are not required to do anything accept look for work.In Ireland people who are on the dole do community jobs like maintain the graveyards.
Prefer a country graveyard though. Always thought it would be dead peaceful to live beside one.
Nice and quite as neighbours though. The house that my Mother grew up in and now lives in again is near a graveyard. I always remember walking back from the house to the town (Glenties) and I was always petrified. I know they are DEAD but by GOD I have a bastard of an imagination.

Ahhh love a Donegal graveyard. There's a really beautiful one at Glencolmcille that might be my all time fave. The house that my Mother grew up in and now lives in again is near a graveyard. I'm kind of you in reverse. Got the imagination but love the idea of being beside something like that because of it.
Lemme check.Out past Killybegs? I have never had the pleasure of coming across the graveyard.
Too many horror movies as a child has scarred me forever.
And you end up on a forum of screaming queens. My mother lives in an old cottage and the next house from her is a FABULOUS alcoholic priest who spends most of his time in and out of rehab and litters all his sentences outside his place of work with swear words. An old nun who looked about 100 when I was a child also regularly walks past and pops in for a coffee on her way in to town most days. It really is like the back and beyond but GOD I MISS IT.

Fun graveyard fact: Mary Shelley lost her virginity on her mother's grave. Truly the original GOTH.
The Catholic chaplain when I worked at the Prison had the most bulbous red nose and he was always several pints of Guinness in. On the rare occasions I had to get in touch with him I'd just ring the pub in the village and ask if Father Des was there, there was no point ringing the clergy house for him.
