Oh was her mother sick or something then? I just remember it going on FOREVER and being extremely uncomfortable. :D

But then that's pretty much the Tori Amos album experience too :disco:

Her mother had been very ill and that's the main premise of the song (but she survived, and you get the line of the Beekeeper/death saying "I'm passing you by, but don't be confused - one day I'll be coming for you" at the end of the song), but her brother Michael did die in a motorcycle accident in the same year (and he's referred to in the line "Send this message to Michael"). So yeah it's still pretty intense anyway!

1. Desert garden
2. The orchard
3. Elixirs and herbs
4. The greenhouse (heavily brought down by the blight on humanity known as Ireland)
5. Roses and thorns
6. Rock garden (poor Cars and Guitars, it really got a rough grouping)

No rim polishing for @Iguana :(

There is one despicable moment in “Hoochie Women” that is my all time worst Tori moment of ALL TIME.

There is one b-side - but it's over 8 minutes long. :basil:

If anyone fancies warming up you can watch this lovely video of Tori chatting absolute bollocks.

I think this was probably her worst time for talking shit, probably joint with the ADP era. Fortunately she became a lot more coherent after those few years!

The way she talks about how loads of the songs just got into her Saab during drives around Cornwall and refused to get out. The whole album is one big carjack and that makes total sense!

Well I'm listening . I'm pretty sure I haven't listened to any of it (besides Original Sinsuality this morning)
