Btw I bought an aubergine for the first time, and not only did it look just like the 🍆, I was shocked by the texture of the skin, it feels like.. let’s just say flexible plastic

It's not a brilliant one in the UK, the sun will just look like a fat crescent. Starts at 10:07hrs, peak is at 11:14hrs and finish at 12:26hrs (BST).

Mrs Bev was telling my friend just yesterday that he'd never tried aubergine (the actual vegetable) until he was an adult.
 
Hang on so there was a blood moon 2 weeks ago and a solar-ish eclipse today? I wonder if they are more likely to happen close together. Synced up cycles or something

yeah they eat it quite a lot in Japan and I like it!
I had a fairly sheltered upbringing vegetable-wise, mum wasn’t very adventurous with what she boiled to death

I remember when we had the last one here (back in 2015 I think?) it was pretty cloudy too but you could still easily notice the sky going dark.

Maybe the moon cycle explains why Moopy has felt more feral than usual over the last few days.
