8 POUNDS a month is overpriced for LUTON.
I personally disagree. My brothers were brought up on the Isle of Wight, same as I was. And they've both moved. I know loads of people born and bred here, but loads have moved.I didn't chose to live here, I was born and bought up here, there's a bit of a difference! It's difficult to leave when your whole life is here

Why did they move?I personally disagree. My brothers were brought up on the Isle of Wight, same as I was. And they've both moved. I know loads of people born and bred here, but loads have moved.
That’s my flat mate. Has no major job prospects, grew up in Southampton, parents live in Wales, sister in Australia and only 2 major friends in the city, both of whom are non-Londoners that don’t seem to be too settled either. She has absolutely no reason to be here and it’s making her miserable.I don't understand people who stay in London when not held down by a career/family or particularly people who don't take advantage of the huge cultural benefits of living in London.
My older one move for work, he works in central London but lives in Shoreham. And now his kids go to school locally, although he plans on moving back to the island soon. Why did they move?
I do think it's different if you're young and leaving a place like the IoW, or any rural area really. The reasons people have to leave those areas often don't exist if you're living in a city (particularly a city like London). Everything is there. Those reasons to move elsewhere can be a reason to stay in London. My older one move for work, he works in central London but lives in Shoreham. My younger one moved because he met his now wife who lived up north, they settled on London as it was central for both.
But both left their families, their jobs, their friends, their lives to move.
I do absolutely understand that it's hard to move if you've been brought up somewhere. It's one of the reasons I haven't left the island...but then I absolutely love it here and have a great life here.

Good as I haven’t trimmed down there in monthsDON’T DO HAIRLESS x

Obviously EACH TO THEIR OWN, but that's exactly what I'd struggle with. I love living in a city. Bristol is great for me now. Not moving to London in my 20s when I had the chance isn't a REGRET exactly, but I do wonder 'what if'. The moment well and truly passed a couple of decades ago though.I moved TO London from a PLEASANT but FUCKING DULL commuter town. I may have had a three bed semi there for half the price of my one bed flat here, but NEVER AGAIN.
I'm from an ex-mining turned commuter town and they're just the worst. I obviously love city living, and whilst not for me I get the appeal of rural living, but why anyone would want the worst of all worlds is beyond me.I moved TO London from a PLEASANT but FUCKING DULL commuter town. I may have had a three bed semi there for half the price of my one bed flat here, but NEVER AGAIN.
You could definitely go to the theatre regularly in any bigger than normal city I think. Belfast has a bunch of theatre venues and you could go to multiple good shows a week if you wanted - you just need to be open minded about what you're seeing. That’s my flat mate. Before 2020 I would go to the theatre on average once every 2-3 weeks or more, a lot of the time on last minute free seat-filler deals. There’s nowhere else I could do that.
Yeah, don't think I could see Hamilton in the front row for £35 at the last minute though, or some other major musicals for freeYou could definitely go to the theatre regularly in any bigger than normal city I think. I get that London has a lot more going on though.

That's true, but often smaller scale theatre is much better anyway.Yeah, don't think I could see Hamilton in the front row for £35 at the last minute though, or some other major musicals for free
I've only been to Belfast once though. Had planned to go in 2019 to see a friend but it got postponed![]()
Broadwho?Poor New York City and it’s little known, worse, theatre scene
FAR more expensive than London though.Poor New York City and it’s little known, worse, theatre scene

Obviously your situation could be different and I don't know it. But your life is your husband and your children and the life you choose it to be.

Seen all of the following for FREE through seat filling clubs:I was gonna say, what sort of FREE THEATRE were you seeing that you couldn’t possibly part with![]()
