I think it must have been a bit overwhelming, I feel so bad that he missed all the official settling in sessions. I had put a little 'a hug from mum' badge in his bag and his teacher found it and pinned it on him.

I was a mess when I dropped my 2 off on their first day, and they were both quite happy to toddle in and start the next chapter of their life. It must be difficult when it is the other way round? How was he when you picked him up? Why did he start so late?

He was OK at pick up, but did seem pleased to be home. He seems to be umming about tomorrow. But then to be honest I did expect it, he's a sensitive soul. He ended up starting late because of getting covid
