A lot of them seem to be aimed at Ariana and Taylor specifically, like their careers are over or something. Something tells me they’ll be fine

To be honest, I had assumed that the first three pages would just be dUb announcing that new music was about to drop every four months.

Mariah set the tone in the 90s. Remember when every pop act would save their ballad for the album push in November? It’s a cosy thing.

As much as she’s just ok for me overall, I’m not against a nice big BALLAD from our ‘Dell to round off 2021
 
I know that Adele is Adele and everything, but it’s just mildly frustrating that she has the voice, the personality, the music taste, the popularity and the credibility to release basically whatever kind of music she wants, so it would be nice for her to throw a bit of a curveball for once.

What genre would you most like her to explore? I'm hoping for screamo myself.
 
Why is it so ridiculous to suggest that it sounds (BASED ON WHAT WE'VE HEARD, Ok @VoR ?) like pretty much the same as always, and that she's talented and interesting enough to maybe lead with something else? I'm sure it will be LOVELY.

Probably, and I'm not suggesting she's being told what to do or anything. She just seems to have quite an eclectic taste and I'd be interested in what she has the potential to do herself.
 
Let’s also not ignore the fact that every time she releases a maudlin power ballad she banks millions
