Ace of Base - The Goldeneye
Yes, we could have had Ace of Base doing a Bond theme  Apparently they were very much up for it, but their label were convinced that the Bond revival would be a disaster and didn't want them associated with it. Oops! :D This was later reworked into the song The Juvenile, on their 2002 album Da Capo. This YouTube video also features a weird fanmade poster where someone's put Timothy Dalton in place of Pierce Brosnan for some reason.

I still can’t quite believe that they got away with the bit where the gun comes out of her mouth.

Do listen to The Juvenile (the song this became) at some point, it really is just the same but with different lyrics :tongueout:

David Arnold - Diamonds Are Forever (feat. David McAlmont)
In 1997 David Arnold released his Shaken and Stirred album of Bond theme covers (before going on to score five of the subsequent films), the highlight for me being this stunning version of Diamonds Are Forever with vocals by David McAlmont and a GAY AS FUCK video :disco: Video contains a snippet of Aztec Camera at the end, SORRY!

I love David McAlmont’s vocals so much. I can only pray that I never get drunk enough to think that it’s a good idea to attempt ‘Yes’ at karaoke.

David McAlmont is actually straight. I have proof
