I mentioned earlier I don't really care for it, but wondered if Moopy felt the same.

I toyed between Don't Like and Hate, but I suppose I don't mind the kids having a bit of fun with it.

It's just ALWAYS ruined my birthday celebrations on the years the closest weekend is between my birthday and the 31st and I think it's just a bit of commercial nonsense which generates a FUCKLOAD of plastic crap that no one needs.

Hates it .

How many bad Harley Quinn’s and Jokers do I need to see ? I’ve seen suicide squad already…

It’s definitely become more of a thing in the UK with time but for me it wasn’t a big deal growing up other than dunking for apples and eating apple tart with a tooth breaking 50p hidden somewhere in it so whilst I’ve no desire or need to feel like I should go out for Halloween it doesn’t bother me to see other people going for it.

Not sure what the Halloween equivalent of Scrooge is, but I'm that.

Unless you do it really well (amazing original outfit, creative deco etc) it's generally pretty tacky and trashy.

As I said I don't care for the imagery and I don't like making an effort to dress up.

If I didn't have the children, I really wouldn't care anymore tbh. But at the moment it gives us something to do.

Couldn’t care less apart from having a few fun seasonal scary films and songs. I like the Strictly specials too, but to actually participate in any “festivities”, no. Firmly stopped aged 10.

I will be buying any reduced sweets in the co-op tomorrow, though

And yes I might carve a pumpkin, because it's something to do.

NO ONE TALKS ABOUT HOW GROSS THEY ARE INSIDE.

I like it but don’t love it. Trick or treating was fun as a kid and I like going to a Halloween party. I love seeing other people’s creative costumes but I’m not that good at it.

I carved a pumpkin last weekend and it became very moldy within 24 hours and was gross to clean up.

Can we blame Halloween for Pumpkin Spice Lattes as well?

I’m not really a fan though it’s hardly ABHORRENT. I’ve never liked fancy dress and I’ve found over the past few years living in/close to the city centre that trick or treating isn’t really a thing (and back home the house is tucked away in the corner of a cul-de-sac so we rarely get anyone either).

Today feels more FESTIVE if anything due to the clock change.

Halloween was never a big deal for me growing up. My parents didn't like the idea of me trick or treating (which I totally get now!) so I wasn't allowed to do it till I was around 13/14 and by then it never really filled me with much excitement.

As an adult it's really just an excuse for a fancy dress party isn't it? Again, not something I've ever loved. You can spend so much time and effort (and money) for a one off costume only for someone infinitely more creative than you to shit all over it (yes, speaking from experience!)

Recent years I'm just seeing slutty gays dressing up as scantily as possible, calling it a sexy Pokémon, and being done with it. Wow, you have arms. :eyes:

It's FUN but I don't see it as particularly different to any other night I can have fun on thanks.

Oh and Kim Petras of course.

But it's otherwise such a messy collection of novelty songs.

It leaves me so cold. I also don't DISLIKE it but it just means nothing to me and I have never been excited by it. Give me Christmas any (every) day

I think my first memory of Halloween may well be from seeing ET at the cinema.

I've never carved a pumpkin in my life, but I did make pumpkin loaf once and those bastards are HARD. Carving it must be a bitch?
Not really. Mind you I normally rarely advance beyond a child's drawing.

It was so much easier than I thought it was going to be. A sharp knife cut through really easily
