Obvious things that took you ages to realise!

Having only ever heard Blockbuster by The Sweet on the radio and not knowing the title, to this day I still only hear “does anyone know the way to the bus stop?”
Are they actually singing about the video rental store?

Also musically - "Soft Cell" = soft sell, the opposite of hard sell as in "giving someone the hard sell" in trying to persuade them.
Also fun that they reference that themselves in the lyrics for Insecure Me:

And you can really go to hell if you give me the soft sell
It's not me that's feeling insecure

Quite the song :disco:

With a rhotic R in Shore and a parasitic L in Shaw, I hear them quite differently.

Sade the person was always commonly known as Sade rather than Helen though wasn't she? And the album covers only featured her, and I don't remember anyone other than her doing the promo circuit (not that she/they ever did much, I think). So I get the confusion of people not realising it was a band rather than a person. It's not like she was ever introduced as Helen.

I wouldn't say it was as obvious as the Debbie Harry 'Blondie Is A Band' business.

Sade brought her Volvo in for a service and my aunt served her, she was lovely apparently.
The HUSBAND HOWEVER bit of a cunt
You might not know this, but her name is Helen
