love GMAR and Radio but it's gotta be Breathless. it's iconic.

that's cultural impact!

I mean really their best song is Closer. If only they had re-released that in 1999!

(Or maybe not as it would undoubtedly have been desecrated by Tin Tin Out feat. Shelley Nelson)

I've been having a Give Me A Reason week. I absolutely adore the video of "and my make-up is off" when the girls had clearly just been dunked in their usual vat of Maybelline.

I mean Breathless is just one of those pop songs isn’t it? Talk about text book for the type of act they are. And holds up 22 years on :disco:

So Young as the most popular Talk On Corners track is a choice

Obvious winner, but I'd have delighted if Give Me A Reason had stolen it.

Also.. 20 years on and I still have no idea... WHY THE HORSE? Why were they suddenly hosting a party at the end with a lot of people wearing Anastacia's spare shades? Why did Caroline get a beautifully filmed shot besides her indoor pool, whilst poor old Sharon had to harmonise inside a CUPBOARD? Why is Jim?

Congra(ndrea)tulations @Jark for a fabulous Surviv-Corr and a wonderful Corr-onation of our deserving winn(C)orr. Truly a song to jam to ... or a song to Jim to, if you will. Thanks for shar(on)ing your thoughts and emotions. I know you had to put a lot of time on the (Caro)line to deliver this xox.

Even more essential than the Bunton vinyl!

(Actually all joking aside I'm increasingly of the view this might actually have been a better album than Talk On Corners)

Justice for Closer - the hit that never was

Breathless is the only max-track that deserves to be in that final. Runaway, Dreams, Summer Sunshine AGOG

what an odd re-release

"Originally released in 2001, Best Of The Corrs is the double platinum hits collection covering the incredible Corrs first 3 hugely successful studio albums Forgiven Not Forgotten, Talk On Corners and In Blue. Newly reissued in expanded form, Best Of The Corrs will now be made available for the first time on vinyl, in a stunning limited edition 2LP gold vinyl format. This newly reissued collection now features 3 new songs recorded in tribute to Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie. Following the sad passing of Christine McVie in 2022, the band have recorded beautiful new versions of the classic songs Little Lies, Everywhere and Songbird. The new tracks were produced and recorded by Guy Chambers, with Little Lies and Songbird being released in the run up to the new Best Of, with the Iconic Songbird coming on November 30th the first anniversary of Christine’s death. Best Of The Corrs expanded reissue features 21 tracks including the hits Breathless, Runaway, What Can I Do, Radio, Dreams and more."

Very weird! :D

Were they working on a Fleetwood Mac covers album at some point?

At what point does this stop being a Best Of, and being an all out Mac tribute album?

Still - is this the only stuff they've recorded in the last five years?

They are doing massive shows in Australia and Asia, I wonder if this release is to capitalise on that

The Best of the Corrs... and a few of the best of Christine McVie

fuck!

I was just thinking the other day that the era of huge nostalgia for 90s/00s groups seemed to completely pass The Corrs by. they really didn't capitalise on it well. glad they're slaying in Australasia.

Maybe because their music aged better than most so that they never needed to resort to the nostalgia gimmick?

JUST LIKE ATOMIC KITTEN
