I've not checked but in terms of being only solo hits, I'm guessing her and Cher have the longest spans now.

So excluding Diana Ross for The Supremes and Lulu for that duet with Ronan.

That's choosing to disregard Running Up That Hill for not being new material, which is probably controversial. And unfair.
 
ABBA have a 47 year span now, I think there was some fanfare at the time about that being a record.

Amazed to hear Lulu had a top 10 hit in either the 70s or 80s. Another re-hash of Shout NO DOUBT.

Statistics aside, I think this has just cemented Kylie’s career for at least another decade. I can’t think of many other acts who now has fans all the way from Boomers to Gen Z. And it couldn’t happen to someone more deserving.
 
I mean, she's denied Loreen another week in the Top 10. Clearly everyone goes straight under the Kylie BUS :D
 
Amazing result. Love the five decade stat. Next it just needs to chart on the Hot 100. It would be her first since “Slow” in 2004. I saw it was on some USA Spotify “viral” top ten chart, whatever that means.
 
I genuinely think this could do business in the US with a push. Even just a nice little top 20 pop hit, big on AC and just charting on the Hot 100. The song itself has connected hugely and I don’t see why America wouldn’t.

Are any of these qualifying from duets or the like? Not to diminish at all, it’s a great achievement, but doing it on your own is much more impressive than jumping onboard a flavour of the month act to do so (I assume Lulu and Diana would potentially fall into that category?)

Lulu hasn't had an original solo since the 70s with her Bond theme. Diana Ross's last chart trip was with Westlife.

Lulu’s 80s top 10 was a Shout re-release as @GinAg (39) mentioned and the 90s was the Take That duet though Independence narrowly missed at #11. Cher’s are all solo hits. Diana has six decades if you include the Supremes from the 60s but the 00s was the Westlife collab.
 
As streaming is holding the bulk of her ‘sales’ (despite actual sales popping her up a few places), this should easily fall into a nice little top 20 and 40 chart run. The question is will it continue on up and breach the Spotify top 20 (or 10?), Apple top 5 etc and actually continue to climb without the physicals? I nearly dare to say it might very well…

I reckon it'll stay top 10 next week, if not even slightly higher if streaming numbers continue to grow as they are.

Also - I only just got the notification from the KYLIE STORE that my CD SANGLE has been dispatched. Does that mean my sale is counted towards next week? :disco:

Kylie did sneak in there in 2010, but if we're counting ropey collaborations, Higher was 2011.
