Leigh-Anne - Don't Say Love

I find her lacking in charisma but that doesn't seem to matter these days!!!!!!!

Will this do better or worse (actually, is worse possible?) then the epoch-defining 'Bad Thing'?

None of them are particularly appealing prospects as solo popstars, are they? Except future Pride line-up mainstay Jade :disco:

Jade and Perry had the VOX and Jesy had the TONE (before she started over egging it) but I always used to think that out of all of them, Leigh-Ann had the POP voice and would probably get the most mileage out of a solo run.

I guess we’ll see.

I would love it if she done well as she seems lovely but I did think to myself when I saw the thread WHY?

Quite catchy, if a touch generic. It doesn't feel much like a NEW SOLO STAR EVENT single, but in terms of Spotify longevity that might be wise.
Initially I was slightly depressed at how anonymous and faceless it is for a solo launch.

But for every Look At Me there's a Boyz, so yes, perhaps wise indeed.

It screams neither hit nor flop - could take, might not. Cheeky wee taster of the next single at the end of the video suggests we won't be waiting too long for a follow up.

I don't think it's a particularly soft launch is it? It's been all over social media and I've seen it in the tabloids.

She’ll get a lot of press for it but I guess it just feels like it came out of nowhere (maybe she’s been building it up on socials - I don’t use social media)

But that doesn’t matter these days, you don’t have to hit the Top 10 right out of the gate to have a hit. She’s on a major label so I’m sure they have a plan.

Well yeah, as solo stars they aren’t the easiest of a sell, even if they aren’t as problematic as others in their position. They were very much an ensemble, and the market has changed quite a lot. To me this seems like a smart way of giving it a bash - inoffensive, pleasant, potential to do well on streaming after the initial LM fans giving it a good first week.

This doesn't seem GREAT but it climbing on Apple Music is a good sign.

Spotify UK

#54 (NEW) - 130,715 streams

Apple Music UK

#39 (+6)

That’s a solid start. I suspect not announcing with all bells and whistles like Jesy did will serve her well.

Yeah it’s the long game, if she can setup in the Spotify 100 and do well across the others she should get a comfortable top 40 debut and hopefully a solid run.

#3 on the first look mids! How with streams not all that high?

Her numbers on Spotify seemed really strong for a first week but LM do have a very wide international following so the numbers must be spread thin across lots of markets

#1 in VANUTAU!!!!
