Wahlgren is out of the running as she's landed Måns' and Sanna's old job as hostess for Allsång på Skansen.

That's Sweden's highest profile summer season hosting gig and positions her nicely for Sweden's next win.

Bloody Malmö. Such a pointless city. I’m wondering what the UK equivalent is. Reading? Coventry?
 
Birmingham, surely. Absolutely terrible city and accent but QUITE the rail link to a far more salubrious city (London) :disco:
 
Malmö wishes it was Birmingham. The highlight of my first visit was Pizza Hut.

They even managed to make their Moderna Museet rubbish.

I was on Airbnb as soon as the announcement was made and places in Malmö were disappearing by the second. In the end I managed to get somewhere on Misterb&b for 350 euro for the week, it’s a room in a guys flat, but at that price and it being 400m from the arena I couldn’t say no.

I’m waiting for both Norwegian and Ryanair to release their flights for May - EasyJet is over £200 on the Sunday back.
 
Was it ever confirmed that the Crystal Ball account was the same person as the official account? They started interacting quite a bit.



Wonder if that account will be back for the 2024 season :eyes:
 
After 106 entrants that resulted in a 0 pointer in the semi, they've taken the obvious decision to simply renew Una Voce Per San Marino again for 2024 :disco:



Like in 2022, they'll invite some 'big' artists that will prequalify - they actually got some (relatively) big names then (Spagna!), so fingers crossed.

You have to pay to enter, which then covers their participation fee (I assume). Also, they hand pick the jury so yes probably.

Who cares when it gives us classics such as these :disco:





In fact it's probably hard to link an entry that isn't amazing(ly awful)

Can't wait for Elettra Lamborghini to make her long awaited debut next year! :disco:
 
God it really is a fantastic delight how much the contest has gone from utter STRENGTH TO STRENGTH in the last ten years - and especially the last five - though :disco: It feels like it's only getting bigger every year, which is a hell of an achievement considering it's lost two massive markets in the last decade.
 
They feel like the less essential of the mini and micro nations but all for it. The more the merrier unless it’s Turkey.
 
I kinda feel the opposite - they represent the Catalan language essentially, plus I like all their entries (although they were usually staged dreadfully). They also always returned a valid televote other than in the final in 2007, which is more than even Albania or Montenegro have managed.

I’m pretty sure this is the first time since their withdrawal that RTVA haven’t just immediately said no when asked so fingers crossed :disco:
