What Are You Watching? 2024

Quite liking Love and Death on ITV1 Saturday nights - one of the Olsen twins I haven't seen them in much but she's pretty good
 
I am enjoying Fellow Travelers, but at the same time it is a bit depressing and is very much an episode or two a week watch rather than a binge.

Just about to watch the last episode. We’ve really enjoyed it, but a lot of it is ‘where was that filmed?’ as its local.

I love to cook and although I wouldn’t ever look at them for tips I do enjoy judging them. I didn’t know Vito was taking part :disco:
 
Sherwood s1 was fucking amazing. I'm so happy it's coming back, assuming the new story can be as good.

I'm going to use The Great and/or Interview with the Vampire s2 to fill the gaping chasm left by the end of the Olympics
 
Has anyone watched Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story yet? It's a BBC series, and NOT the Lifetime shit it sounds like. I thought it was good, and delightfully short.

I wasn't aware of Chloe Ayling or what happened to her at the time, which was great here because it meant I could be judgey to the British press and public for not believing her here, instead of feeling guilty that I absolutely fell in to the same trap.

I was initially taken aback by the actress' bizarre performance/delivery, but then I YouTubed the real Chloe and that is actually how she speaks.

The final episode ending with a caption of 'Chloe was evicted second from the Big Brother house' felt unneedlessly harsh :D

I've not watched it yet, but from remembering Chloe Ayling in Celebrity Big Brother, judging by the trailers for this, they have got her spot on!
 
I enjoyed BBC comedy Spent, about a bankrupt model returning to London and I've now started Daddy Issues, with Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey. The first couple of episodes had a few sticky moments but Wood is an excellent presence.

On Sky true crime documentary The Body Next Door was a very good twisty three parter.

Still persisting (intermittently) with Fellow Travelers and Those About to Die as well.
 
Some gay in BBC scheduling just got bored of waiting for her to die
 
Celebs Go Dating nightly for my week night bit of trash. Not a bad cast this time round.

I've got so much prestige TV queued up to watch, but in the past 48 hours I've watched six (6) episodes of Sister Boniface Mysteries, because I went on iPlayer and saw this ridiculous/amazing picture:

It's textbook cozy crime and mostly drivel, but it's lovely to have a low stakes 45 minutes of froth you don't have to think for. Been on your phone and missed the last few plot developments? it doesn't matter! This is telly for old ladies with dementia so you'll still get the jist of it and have a LOVELY TIME 😍

Apparently it's a Father Brown spin-off, but I've never watched Father Brown coz he's a fat old priest and not a NUN on a MOTORBIKE
 
I have to say, if I am home on a Sunday morning, SUNDAY BRUNCH really is a staple. I love it. You can dip in dip out, its on for bloody three hours. I guess it reminds me of the old Saturday morning shows but an adult version. I do wish they would up their musical performance slot at the end though and really make it a thing not just with new emerging acts but bigger ones that are on too.
