See I tend to be more of "let's meet for drinks in the afternoon" person, and I will catch up with friends over a few drinks.I'd say 95% of my alcohol consumption this year has been a drink when eating out, which we do probably 5 or 6 times a month, although I don't necessarily always have an alcoholic drink then, and when I do, I think it's only ever been one drink.
Only once this year do I remember meeting friends where having a drink has been a focus. That was when we were creating cocktails.
That's largely due to blood pressure and heart concerns and wanting to lose weight because of them, but I haven't found not drinking hard in the slightest. The food has been considerably more hard than drink.
This evening is my recovery group's monthly social, which is perfect for me as it gives me something to do on my birthday.
The activity is a guided nature walk with an ecologist around one of London's Royal Parks.
We will be discovering how queerness can be found in everything from birds to bugs. And we will be exploring the interconnectedness between nature and LGBTQ+ history.

I'm watching Homes under the Hammer and there's a lovely 3 bed flat in Southsea. But it's 4 floors up and the lift hasn't worked for years.
After living in a top floor flat without a lift, I want a lift in all future flats.
