What's Wednesday gonna look like with a chimney on her?

Happy birthday @Nancy !!

I'm off today, I'm exhausted. But I'm off to visit the little old lady I check in on, then I plan on reading all afternoon! Then off for a walk.

When did my life become so...alcohol free πŸ€”

Happy birthday, Nancy! Much preferred to Nan A and Nan B, both of which are a bit racist.

Also, MIRNONG!

My life is already being made harder than it needs to be by other people's rank stupidity but hey ho, that's the way it is.

This evening is my recovery group's monthly social, which is perfect for me as it gives me something to do on my birthday.

The activity is a guided nature walk with an ecologist around one of London's Royal Parks.

We will be discovering how queerness can be found in everything from birds to bugs. And we will be exploring the interconnectedness between nature and LGBTQ+ history.

Happy Birthday Nance! Hope your day is every bit as fabulous as you are. xx

It’s an absolute STUNNER today so I plan on doing very little apart from lounging in the garden in the sunshine with copious amounts of cocktails that I shall be preparing shortly with 80’s synths blaring in to the hills.

SUMMER FTW. :disco:

I mean you posted that before 10am on a Wednesday. Are you normally half a bottle of mermaid gin down by now or something?
I do try 🀣

No but previously my days off would have involved alcohol with friends.

I'd say 95% of my alcohol consumption this year has been a drink when eating out, which we do probably 5 or 6 times a month, although I don't necessarily always have an alcoholic drink then, and when I do, I think it's only ever been one drink.

Only once this year do I remember meeting friends where having a drink has been a focus. That was when we were creating cocktails.

That's largely due to blood pressure and heart concerns and wanting to lose weight because of them, but I haven't found not drinking hard in the slightest. The food has been considerably more hard than drink.

I am on a beach. I’m not sure why I live in the UK. Its not for me.

See I tend to be more of "let's meet for drinks in the afternoon" person, and I will catch up with friends over a few drinks.

I very rarely eat out anymore. But recently I've lost interest in meeting friends for drinks, and the last couple of times I have done, I've left within an hour because I've had 1 drink and they're all wasted and I can't stand being around them all when they're drunk.

Happy birthday NANCE! <3

Which park? :disco:

I'm watching Homes under the Hammer and there's a lovely 3 bed flat in Southsea. But it's 4 floors up and the lift hasn't worked for years.

After living in a top floor flat without a lift, I want a lift in all future flats.

Ok add lifts to the Moopy Retirement Home plans, must make a note of that somewhere...
