EastEnders 2024 (6 Viewers)

I would hope not as it surely can’t lose many more viewers before it is cancelled. :(

I haven’t watched Waterloo Road in years, and especially not since the resurrection.

@lolly does it do well ratings wise?
I've not seen any figures, and it certainly has never featured in the Top 50. Its own Wikipedia page has 'n/a' under ratings since the reboot.

I did find this though

The series remains especially popular with younger viewers, and is the BBC’s second biggest drama title with 16-34 year olds of the year so far, behind only Happy Valley.

So I assume it's getting recommissioned due to that demographic appeal, even if total viewers aren't massively impressive.

They really do enjoy using a proposal as a plot device at the moment don’t they. We currently have no fewer than FIVE engaged couples on the Square (Ian & Cindy; George & Elaine; Suki & Eve; Reiss & Sonia; Billy & Honey).

I’m sure at least one of those won’t make it up the aisle, but remember when a wedding was a BIG event in soap?

Can anybody remember what Ian and David's relationship was like in David's last stint circa 2013? Surely they buried a lot of this Cindy stuff then...

Sharon absent in The Six’s scenes again tonight. And call me a cynical conspiracy theorist, but I have a feeling she’s not in the same room at the same time as the others for the Halloween episode either:

Is she unwell, or does she have other work commitments outside Eastenders?

I mean has Suki learnt nothing? Once again speaking openly without checking who might be listening!

Is that Nish gone now then?
I'd imagine if he is gone then there'll be farewell posts from the show / some other actors after the episode airs tonight. It seems like the actor is well liked.

Nish's story says he wasn't at the scene, but he was literally picked up by ambulance after being found unconscious at the scene.
