Everyone is back to work and school today, I presume. Although I'm back in tomorrow, as thankfully I think the chest infection has finally lifted.

Aside from that small note of positivity, it all feels rather bleak.

Today is 9/11 for small talk haters.

I went in Friday to get some work done before everyone else came back as today will inevitably be consumed by endless CHIT-CHAT.

I'm going into the office, and straight out again if there's a whiff of this. Hoping that most people got it out of their system last week when I was still off.

Ron Jr is off until tomorrow. Ms Ron starts a new job today. I am still in bed.

In years gone by, my lovely new jumper would have probably been a talking point. There's a certain invisibility which descends when you get old though, which though slightly disconcerting when you first encounter it, is actually a comfort when you yield to it.

Miserable night here- massive wind and rain which has only just stopped. Just debating the walk to the office but the sky still looks ominously black.

Also felt REALLY positive about going back to work and getting my life back to normal yesterday and had a weirdly productive Sunday getting shit done but just can't be arsed now :D

God it was a struggle to get up today but I welcome the routine back.

Now I wonder how many of my log in details I've forgotten? Probably easier to get them all reset.

My back's still knackered. It's not quite as bad as it was over the weekend but I'm still a bit fucked.

DON'T GET ME STARTED on logins and, more importantly, two factor authentication. I blew my phone up (well, washed it) at the weekend and so am waiting for a replacement but, GUESS WHAT? You can't authorise the payment for a new phone without...YOUR FUCKING PHONE! It's ridiculous. I've had to get Mr Sheena to buy me a phone on his credit card, which will look dodgy as it's actually a work payment. We also went to book a trip to Japan which we've planned all weekend and now I've realised I can't do that either until I get the phone through but he has already booked, so I've just got to hope everything is still ok and available on Wednesday. It's (CARPET) madness!

Went through sth similar a couple of weeks ago, my old phone died and couldn't access my bank accounts even despite having everything needed to access it cause the fucking apps realized i was trying to access from an unknown device.

It's SO frustrating.

My business is the same as I hold the 2FA for paying my suppliers. Thankfully, there's only one overdue invoice as a result, but the woman is getting tetchy as we've never worked with her before and the bank refuse to do anything. Why isn't it available through the web interface? Just ridiculous.

That's how i solved it eventually, called the bank, and was guided via web to some point where I could unregister the dead phone and then the app was free to enroll the new one.

I hate 2FA with a passion, its so poorly thought out for this reason.

Good afternoon.

I also started the day with great intentions and was planning on going for a run. It didn’t happen as it was pitch black and I couldn’t find my head torch. It was also freezing cold and icy with a dusting of snow. Went back to bed.

TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY.

I need to go to the gym but it looks fucking FREEZING out.

I have no excuse as its across the road from my front door but still. BRRR.

Gym is best avoided in January. At least until all the NY resolutionists give up.

It wasnt too bad tbh, busier than December (DEAD) but still only 5 or 6 people. Sure its hell before/after work but I avoid that time anyway.

Yeah I went to the cupboard my building repurposed as a gym the other day and there were ONES of people in there which was ALARMING.

Mine was rammed on Thursday but practically empty on Friday :D

Wow, some interesting takes here, for sure. Lots to think about with all these different perspectives. It's cool how everyone sees things a little differently. Definitely makes you appreciate the complexity of the topic. Glad to see such a lively discussion going on!

Went to the gym, there was an old boy sat in the chair in the corner who spent 45 minutes puking into a bin.
That sounds like quite an unpleasant experience at the gym. Maintaining a healthy environment is crucial for everyone's well-being during workouts. Hopefully, the staff was able to assist the gentleman and ensure he received appropriate care. It's important to remember that everyone has different fitness levels and sometimes unexpected things happen. Focusing on your own fitness journey and maintaining a positive attitude can create a more enjoyable gym experience.

Feeling rotten, called in sick today :(
So sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hope you get some good rest today. Taking care of yourself is important, and I hope you feel better soon. Try to stay hydrated and comfortable. Sending you positive thoughts for a quick recovery.
