Louise - Confession (single) + Confessions (TOP TEN ALBUM!)

Manifesting is still building on Streaming. If it manages to maintain this pace it should surpass Borderline and Confession in a matter of days.

I think it’s playlisted isn’t it? Albeit small, but I guess it shows if you show up on some lists you’ll do well.

Get into it I’ve decided is the grade A banger of the set. I think it’s the one she did at Hoopla last year?

Correct

Yep. Hoping it manages to stay on those playlists a few weeks longer. They should definitely give it a proper radio push sooner rather than later.

She's asking fans to request cities where they'd most like to see her perform live, so it looks like the tour is being planned.

I've put down Leeds (slight long shot, though she did have a date here on her Heavy Love tour which was ultimately scrapped due to COVID) and Manchester.
Do you think she'd follow in the footsteps of Tom Jones & the Sugababes & play BOOTLE STRAND if I suggest it? :D

What an epoch in her career this album is turning out to be. The tour is the icing on the cake.

Hope she does For Your Eyes Only.

Yes, good to see, I always felt there would be a route for her to become a BBC fave for some reason the way Sophie, Beverley, Kim and Bananarama have done in recent years.

Actual numbers:

Album Sales: #41
Album downloads: #9
Physical albums: #52

It was always going to be a one-week wonder on the main chart, but Manifesting is building nicely on streams so hopefully they can eke out this era a little longer.

She sold 683 so around #400 or so I’d imagine with streaming.

I’m still surprised she sold that much week two.

Sales are going to be so low that far down it's crazy though - literally a couple of hundred sales probably means the difference of a couple of hundred places. And it's always going to be acts that skew heavily to pure sales that suffer most.

Her sales would have been enough to have got her #5 this week.

Garbage going from midweek #2 to final #24 really does show how volatile it is.

Also, who would have predicted in 1995 that 30 years later Louise would have a more motivated fanbase than Garbage?

As ouch-worthy as the drop is, the other fanbase-driven new entries from last week fared just as poorly.

Four albums that were in the Top 10 last week are no longer in the Top 200 – the first time this has ever happened. New at No.2, No.4, No.7 and No.8 last week, they are, Mad! by Sparks, Addicted To You by When Rivers Meet, The Painful Truth by Skunk Anansie and Confessions by Louise whose exits are attended, respectively by consumption of 866, 384, 711 and 682 units. They are all far below this week’s No.200 album, 2008 compilation Best Of by Creedence Clearwater Revival (1,233 sales).” (Music Week)

Manifesting has now overtaken Confessions (and Borderline) in terms of total streaming numbers. I hope we get a video

I find it quite endearingly goofy but yeah, definitely an outtake for a reason :D
