I've become a bit partial to the COSY & NOT TOO COLD charms of autumn in my old age. I get to walk down leafy tree-lined streets & reminisce :disco:

Autumn is just gaslighting you. There are a couple of days max where its bright crispy and colourful but for most of those 3 months its just cold and wet while everything DIES.

People are fooled by its charms which are a charade. Its a wank season.
 
In terms of the FEELS

1 Spring
2 Autumn
3 Summer
4 Winter

But I do LOVE the long daylight hours of summer, even if it don't particularly like the heat. The days getting shorter and being short until NYE is fine and feels right. But I'd like to be able to flick a switch on January 1st whereby it suddenly it doesn't get dark until about 8pm and we don't have to piss about for another two months before things start feeling tangibly spring like.
 
I love from October to December the most so probably Autumn/Winter due to the big events. Winter is great as I love the coziness of it all, and of course SNOW which seems to be getting quite few and far between these days. I do love watching everything come to life in Spring and of course long hot bright summer nights.

If I had to be pushed it would be WINTER.
 
In autumn news, I've been in Cheltenham today, and the number of conkers I've seen on the ground was crazy. IT WASN'T LIKE THAT IN MY DAY. Children would be hitting them out of the trees (or climbing for them) while they were still white and unripe. They never had a chance to naturally ripen and fall.

I relate more & more to this Frank album as TIME GOES ON (apart from the aspect of him shagging a youthful Mia Farrow while making it)

I like all seasons, but some can get quite TEDIOUS after a while. I don’t think I could live somewhere where the daylight hours/weather are the same all the time.

1. Spring (The weather starts to get better, the days are getting longer and you’ve got the prospect of the entire summer ahead. And if this year is anything to go by Spring can be an extension of summer anyway).
2. Summer
3. Autumn
4. Winter (December is good as it feels FESTIVE whatever the weather. Jan-Feb can be a slog though if there’s no snow or CRISP sunny days).
 
I have came back to Scotland and have been pretty cold since I returned and most of the fruit has already fell from the trees. It is definitely feeling very Autumnal.
 
But yes definitely craving that first chilly, sunny weekend of the Autumn where you go for a long walk before coming home for a Sunday dinner :disco:

I’m a real summer boy. I come alive in the light. I am already dreading what it’s going to be like when I get home, having been away for nearly a month. The jump is going to be huge.

I count winter nowadays as post- December. I love the run up to Christmas loads. Detest the dark period afterwards and suffer from SAD badly, particularly in January, which I’ve learnt since being self employed to just take off as much as I can.
 
Autumn in the right country can be amazing. Autumn foliage, lots of sunny days until mid-October, pumpkins everywhere, Federweisser, onion cakes, chestnuts... here in Ireland it just means more rain and wind than usual.
 
Having seen their reviews of you, you certainly left an impression.

Just say I won't read a book about clearing leaves. Sounds really fucking boring.

I was a marmite character actually. Some of my threads are classics.

It is boring but have to do it....Big trees overhanging.
 
This would probably change, depending on where I lived and the weather there

1. Spring - warm but not too hot, my birthday, everyone wants to be social, the days get longer
2. Summer - it gets hot as fuck here, but every building has air conditioning, and the whole world is going to be having our summers soon anyway. My favorite part of my job is in the summer, and I usually go to the pool every day
3. Fall - meh, whatever
4. Winter - it really only gets uncomfortably cold here in January and February, and we still will have days where its 25 degrees, which are lovely. I HATE the early nights though, and if I had to deal with 3:30 sunsets, I would be suicidal
 
Winter would be fine without a JOB just staying in and wearing lovely knits and looking wistfully out of the window, but there’s nothing more depressing than being in the office when it’s DARK outside.
 
Winter — I like the cold and dark nights because I sleep so much better. Typically we get snow in my country for several months which eneables nice outdoor activities like cross country skiing and it makes everything really pretty and lights up the nights a bit. There’s also nice sports on TV such as biathlon and alpine skiing. Of course there’s Christmas and the time in Feb/March when it’s sunnier and the days start to get longer again closing into Spring.

But I like all seasons.

where do you live?
 
Autumn starts to depress me, the dark mornings and nights, being unable to spend much time in the garden :( Not a fan of winter either but the Xmas factor brings a bit of jolly.
Spring makes me happy, especially when the bulbs start coming up! But summer is my favourite, long days and not feeling so confined to the house.
 
I want to pick two but it won't let me.

I love spring, because everything looks so pretty and new.

But I also love the colours of autumn, and the cold sunny days.

Summer and winter suck.

I echo all of this.

It's why we now go away every January. Worst month ever.
