Corrie 2025

I just properly watched last nights and that wasn't a bad episode actually. Glenda is a great character. Debbie is amazing. We also had a bit of Rita, 92 today btw!

I really like Glenda and Debbie too. George is one of those harmless, useless male characters Corrie has always had. All filler no killer, but harmless enough.

Barbara Knox is 92!? Wow I can’t believe it is 2 years since the programme on her 90th. She is ageing fabulously.

There must be something about the old Corrie actors - you've got Rita, Ken, Mavis and Emily, who are all looking really well in their 90s.

Really enjoyed last night, Eva's new family felt like a (MUCH NEEDED) breath of fresh air, and I'm looking forward to see what Pauline McGlynn brings.

And good to see the Rovers full of customers for the first time in YEARS!

I hope Todd doesn't stay with Theo for too long. He really needs to go (Theo that is), as he's one of the worst actors and characters I've ever seen on the show!

It's not even just the writing (which of course is BILGE).

It's also Helen Worth's non-topless odd delivery. She's speaking V E R Y S L O W L Y and deliberately and enunciating, as if she's giving the Archbishop of Canterbury's Christmas Sermon rather than saying "happy xmas fam".

Yep! And she's text to say that she's sent them a message? She'd just text outright or fucking call/Facetime them. I'm sure logistics played a part, but if they can't nail the minutiae of life then everything else goes to shit

And let's not comment on Mary's 'funny lines' being overwritten to the point of collapse.

Exactly this because "minutiae of life" / "kitchen sink drama" is what Corrie has always claimed to trade on, more so than the other soaps even.

If I didn't know better, I'd wonder if there is some news about Helen Worth that hasn't been made public yet. The media HYPE and the strange monologue gave final testament vibes.
