Friday will intentionally avoid all press and marketing attention

Please. Even a squirrel after a bottle of red and a belly full of nuts could take a rat down.

Rats on their diet of antibiotics piss, mouldy food, smack plus their addiction to poison traps could barely stumble INTO a fight.

Think of all the COCAINE WASTEWATER the rats drink. Absolutely CHARGED UP to fuck.

Red Squirrels - Adorable, protect them at all costs
Grey Squirrels - The ASBO teens of the animal kingdom.

Un-fun fact: If Grey Squirrels establish in a Red Squirrel area, the Reds will very quickly die off because the Greys take all the best nesting spots, eat all the food and carry diseases that are fatal to Reds.

So they fucking started it.

Our local squirrels are all grey squirrels, I've only seen reds in Devon. They are lovely but it's a bit annoying when they're tame enough to come scratching at the back door or sitting on the windowledge scratching the window because they are demanding peanuts. Stumpy (was called Brokentail until the broken bit dropped off) and Tattytail were the best and would sit with me on the step to eat their peanuts. Tattytail even brought her babies round to see me when they were a bit older.

Saw the pair of them take on a gobshite magpie once like a WWE tag-team, it was trying to eat the fatballs from the bird feeder, the magpie made a hasty exit after flapping towards them a few times and squawking.

I only ever saw a red squirrel once (on the Isle of Wight - hi @Rachey)

I do like “common” grey squirrels too though

We have red squirrels in Formby pinewoods - it’s protected land and mostly because of the squirrels

I remember watching my cat chase a squirrel and come off second best. The squirrel jumped from a fence to a tree but Cheeky wasn't able to climb the tree and dropped to the ground, his tail swishing so hard I thought he was going to take off. He gave me that look, the one that says "you will never speak of this". Sorry Cheeks.

I love a grey squirrel. I never understand a mainlanders dislike of them.

I mean, I don't want them on my island. But they are cute.

The greys killed off the reds so the reds are so much rarer now.

Apparently the IoW is still a stronghold for the reds @Rachey. When I go back to Ireland I will take pics of the red squirrels who pretty much come up to my door. Almost tame and beautiful flame red colour to see.

Beautiful and rare, and yet Moopy wants to trap our beloved red squirrels in a cage to be eaten by rats :(

Oh I didn't know Ireland also had them! Yours sound much more tame than ours.
Although there is a squirrel hide we go to sometimes where they are used to humans and will take food from you.
