Couple of special mentions:

Luther Vandross's version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"

:santa:

I know the Pogues are a tired, predictable, REAL MUSIC choice with questionable lyrics. But I myself am also tired, predictable and questionable.

01. The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale Of New York
02. Saint Etienne - I Was Born On Christmas Day
03. Chris DeBurgh - A Spaceman Came Travelling
04. Jona Lewie - Stop The Cavalry
05. Mike Oldfield - In Dulce Jublio - it is impossible not to visualise Fanny Craddock falling down some stairs into a giant mincemeat omelette
06. Sinead O'Connor - Silent Night - you don't need any other version
07. Greg Lake - I Believe In Father Christmas
08. Dido - Christmas Day
09. Boney M - Mary's Boy Child
10 The entirety of Annie Lennox's horrifying "A Christmas Cornucopia". LULLAY!

Shout out to Wizzard, Carol Of The Bells, and the Cocteau Twins' NONSENSICAL rendition of Frosty The Snowman.

You'll all be shocked when I include Lonely This Christmas and David Essex' croakfest A Winter's Tale.

I am FUCKING OVERWHELMED 100% of the time so I am not listening to particular songs, just the aural duvets that are the Nils Frahme mixes.

I totally forgot to include Thea's "December In New York" in mine. "Listen The Snow Is Falling" is my second fave from that wonderful album.

Also, absolutely zilch to do with Christmas, but don’t let that stop you. Nothing says FESTIVE like a bit of KIDDIE RAPE.
It's on Celine's Christmas album - and the song has nothing to do with Kiddie rape either, if we're going to be pedantic.

I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO DEAL WITH THIS :D

Exactly. A song has no effect on anyone whatsoever, so there's no reason not to listen to it.

Depending on which platform you are listening to it on, you may actually be generating royalty payments, and therefore funding a convicted sex trafficker.

Just because I said I like a song? I can't just suddenly stop liking music just because the artist has done bad things. I'm certainly not going to be bullied into it.
Bad things? Just a bit of light sex trafficking, production and possession of child porn, and the sexual assault of women and girls.

You also mourned one of the world's most notorious homophobes.

Well he's in jail, where he belongs.

I don't even know what you're on about regarding the other thing, and frankly I don't really care. You're far from a perfect example of what a compassionate person should be.
